Isabelle's POV

I walked slightly behind the rest of the group, only half listening. I talked a little, just to aask thing that needed to be asked, but I was in shock.

Everything was falling apart.

First, the dream. Then, the necklace that pooped my dad back into my life. Then, I make a friend, who later turns out to be magic I guess. Even after that, my worst fear is put to rest, only to try to kill me like an hour later. Then I risk my life for a girl who I never even liked, getting myself way too close to death for comfort. Even after all that, Mason apparently is a son of Apollo, and I'm supposed to also be a demigod. And the worst part about all of this isn't that it's actually happening, it's that I believe it's actually happening.

Alexis fell behind to talk to me, and I explained the whole dream thing. She seemed to be bothered by where I was going with this but I went on anyway. "I'm a demigod." I said confidently. She looked as if I'd just stabbed her.

"Please tell me your kidding." She begged.

"No. I believe him. I have no idea why, but I believe him." I told her."

"Okay." She said and walked back to her own spot in the group. I didn't understand what was wrong, but then it hit me, and a tsunami of guilt washed over me. All of this stuff has happened to us today, and she's relying on me to tell her it's not real. I believe it, and not only that, I believe I'm a demigod. I'm barely doing anything, and somehow I'm already leaving her behind. I could find my dad. She still doesn't have a clue who her mom is. If I leave, she won't have much left.

I was about to go walk over to her, when suddenly I felt someone walk beside me.

Britney.

"Hey. Um... I just wanted to thank you. You know, for what you did. That was really brave." She said. She was seriously thanking me. That, I couldn't believe.

"Well, I couldn't have just watched you die and know that there was something I could've done to stop it." I replied.

"Yeah, but still. Thanks. I know that you don't really like me much, so I was kind of surprised that you risked your life for me." She said.

"It's no problem. Really." I answered. I would have said she would have done the same for me, but I doubted that.

"Guys we're here!" Mason called from the front of the group. We were on a hill with a pine tree at the top of it. On the other side, I could see a volleyball court and a big wooden house.

"This pine tree marks the border of Camp Half-Blood. If you can pass this, you're either a demigod, a god or goddess, or a really lost pizza guy." He chuckled.

"Pizza guy?" Trent asked.

"Yeah, it's happened before." he replied.

"Come on, follow me." He said as he passed the tree. He had a spring in his step. Something that tells you he was happy to be home. I followed behind him passes the tree. He stopped at the bottom of the hill, and turned around as if to make sure I was still following him.

He smiled at me. "I knew I was right about you." He said. Then he looked past me to see who else got pass the border. A look of astonishment crossed his face when he saw every last one of them cross the border.

"Way more demigods then expected." He said, shock and astonishment filled his voice.

"Well, I guess the camp just got 5 new campers." I replied, smiling at Alexis.

I wasn't the only demigod.
