"I really like him, and I want to hang out with him more." I tell my best friend, Ivy, over the phone, a biscuit in hand.
"Then invite him over, a movie night. Tell him to bring a hot friend." Icy gushes. Ahh being single.
"Okay, I can do this." I tell myself, truth is my relationships barely ever last.
"I'm going to end this so I can call him." I give her a heads up.
"Okay bye, good luck!"
"Thank you! Bye." I hung up on ivy.
*** "Hello?" Kieron answers the phone, his English accent literally making me melt.
"Hey Kieron. Um so what are you doing this time tomorrow?" I ask subtlety.
"Nothing, why? You asking me out?" He teases over the phone a smirk playing on his face.
"Yes actually, movie my house? You can bring a friend since I'm bringing my bestie ivy." I take some more biscuits.
"Cool I'm down. What type of movie? A scary film?" His excitement making me laugh.
"Hell nah! I am not good with horror films at all. It's like when I'm watching it I'm fine but when the movies over it's like my house has turned into some paranormal activity 4." I ramble. There's a silence for a while before I hear Kieron bursting into a fit of laughter.
"It's not funny!" I laugh, trying my best not to give in.
"We'll do a sleep over then. I'll protect you from the ghosts." He laughs, teasingly.
"Fine But you're being eaten first if they come for us."
"Alright Kalani, goodnight." He laughs.
"Goodnight Kieron." I sigh. I guess it's a date... sort of.
