I can only look at him full of horror. Dead? How can she be dead?! I had done everything in my power to keep her alive! Even though she was close to death, I didn't actually think that she would actually die.

I find myself sitting, saying or doing nothing. I'm not crying, shouting or anything that I thought I would be doing. I am just look straight in front of me blankly. I think back to what I had said earlier. I gave her a report of what her life would be like. Telling her everything that I knew she would want. Now that future is gone completely from her.

Finally, a tear slithers down my cheek. No others dare follow the bold one, all remaining put in my eyes. Blame begins falling, and it is not all on one person. First one who comes to mind, is of course Quaten and his friend. Then it falls on me, for bringing her out here. Oddly enough, it doesn't stop there. Catyn forced me to run with her. Yet, Targon is the one who bought her, from the keepers who kidnapped her. So it all starts with her horrible family that wouldn't take her in. It was Their selfishness that brought her to this fate! Curse them!

One other tear falls down my left cheek, but this one isn't one of sorrow. This is one of pure anger. I don't know what I am going to do. I don't know whether I will seek out Quaten and the other one and avenge Azjin, or what. All I know is that everyone who was close to me is dead or gone. At least I can rest assured that Niam and Naron are safe where they are.

Another tear, but this is on the right side of my face. Thankfulness that Niam and Naron are away from danger.

I jerk my head to the doctor who does the oddest thing.

He laughs.

“What are you laughing at!” I demand, jumping on my two feet with pure rage fueling me.

“I know that what I did seemed cruel, but I am about to tell you something that might make me seem more sick.”

“What?” I growl, crossing my arms.

“You sister is alive. Unconscious, but alive. You can go see her after you and my sister finish talking.”

I stare at him in utter shock. A wave of emotions take over me at once. I don't know which to choose from, I have a variety of choices. Anger, shock, and joy are the ones above all the others, so I just mix them I glare at him with my eyes, but there is a smile on my face. It looks like I have an evil smile, but he'll know what is going on.

“You truly think that you were funny?” I demand, placing my hands on his hip.

He shrugs, “Well, giving you false, bad news make the great news better.” This is a family of crazies. Is the only thought I bother to think. “So, Massetta, have you told her?”

His, wi- er, sister nods. “Yes, but she won't accept it. She thinks I am crazy.”

And you find that an odd thing? Your brother just told me horrible news when it was actually wonderful news! You people are just sick!

He looks at me with condemning eyes. “Why don't you accept it? What can we do to prove to you that you are indeed a Jalz.”

I shrug, not knowing there is a way. “How about we send you to this world.” Massetta suggests, and Jason nods with enthusiasm. “You have to go there anyways, so might as well kill two birds with one stone.”
