It's been such a ride together
Learnt and grown
Built each other up
To knock each other down
We know each other so well
But I can't even understand a word
Who are you
Why did you come into my life
With this horror
And the glimpses of beauty
That make me stay
We are one and the same
Interlinked
Yet
Are we even the same species?
We'd gash open new and old wounds
Only to stitch them up again
So much pain
So much support
What even happened
A lifetime flashes in just a moment
And you realise the journey
Has been so bumpy
I can't even see one metre behind us
Dead
It's been such a ride together
But it's not over yet
