Amongst many, yet alone
Memories, are far gone
"You're not on your own"
As if loneliness they've ever known.

They are, yet are not
Wishing to tie the knot
To seal the deal
But I'm capable of nought.

Since my heart, Al-A'rab, stole
And since myself, the hag destroyed whole
In my chest has been a hole
And I've been nothing but an ailing soul.

I reach out, trying to hold
A hand, one that's too far
The days, does God fold
Whichever the way, destiny's too far
