Jack POV
All eyes were on me and (L/N). We made eye contact and I smirked only to be met with a fierce glare. Oh yeah, this is going to be fun. The teacher rolled her eyes and muttered,
"Of course... Why do I even bother giving you time to pick the captains? It's always those two." I chuckled slightly and noticed a small, embarrassed smile made its way onto (L/N)'s face. With that the game started, right off the bat the girls started moving. I kept my eyes glued to (Y/N) and did my best to block her. It didn't do much good due to the fact that she managed to dodge me at every point with the fluid grace of a figure skater in her element. About fifteen minutes into class and she'd already managed to score a three pointer flawlessly. Damn! How can she be this good?! I gritted my teeth and tried to come up with a strategy. I grinned wickedly as I got an idea
"Hey how's your friend, what was her name again? Amy...Annie...Betty maybe? You know what just let me go through the alphabet and nod when I get there ok?" I saw her eyes light with rage and immediately regretted my attempt at trash talk. She shot a look to Tooth who nodded. Oh no.... Bad idea, that was a very bad idea! I thought as panic filled me. If there's one thing I've learned in my lifetime it's not to piss off my girlfriend and her best friend, ever!
(time skip because I don't know sports😅)
"MAN! They clobbered us!" Shouted my friend Eric "Bunny/Kangaroo" Bunnymund as we got changed after class. I sighed and just nodded exhaustedly, not having the energy to respond.
"What did you say to them mate?!" I shot a tired glare at my Australian friend.
"And what makes you think I said anything Kangaroo, how do you know it wasn't Jamie(AN: So I know Jamie is supposed to be a kid but I thought it would be cool to put him in the same grade as Jack)?" I gestured to my best friend who shot me a glare and yelled across the locker room.
"We all know you said something to make your girlfriend go psycho Jack, not that it takes much when it comes to you and her." I pointed at him and shot a cold glare across the room at him.
"Hey leave Tooth out of this!" Him, bunny, and our other friend Sandy burst out laughing and bunny shook his head.
"No mate, your other girlfriend when it comes to you it doesn't take much to set her on a rampage, Toothy's just collateral." I gave them a confused look before it hit me who they were talking about. I threw a sports bottle at Jamie's head and punched bunny in the arm, I left Sandy alone though because I knew he'd beat me in any fight-joking or not.
"I don't have a thing for her guys! Just because I said one thing when I was drunk in middle school you guys have been dead set on insisting that I'm into her! I was drunk for pities sake! I thought Eric was a gray kangaroo with Easter egg grenades and boomerangs-"
"Bunny mate, you thought I was the easter bunny." I shook my head and pointed at him,
"I'm pretty sure I remember it being a kangaroo but anyway, I thought Sandy had giant whips made out of golden sand, and I thought I could create frost patterns and fly with my lacrosse stick and make magic blue snowballs by blowing on snowcones! I wasn't thinking clearly, none of us were!"
"Not true, Sandy wasn't wasted." Bunny gestured with both hands at the blonde voice of reason in our friend group. I laughed hysterically and yelled,
"He was using the pictionary cards as his only means of communication!" Sandy shot me a cold glare and calmly stated,
"Watch it Frosty it wasn't that funny."  I gulped.
"Duely noted, anyway me and (L/N) don't have anything going on between us," Jamie interjected with,
"Other than an ongoing rivalry since preschool!" I nodded and shrugged before pointing to them all.
"Other than that besides, I've got Tooth, why would I be interested in anyone else?" Just then as I pulled my hoodie on my phone binged next to me. I got my head through the top and looked at my friends who were all giving me uncertain stares.
"Um.... Mate? You had Toothy...." Bunny handed me my phone...and my world came to a screeching halt.
