Jiaqi's POV
Xize was acting a little strange. He was treating me as if I am a fragile woman who could so easly break.
"Yue! I need to go to Yue. She's been shot Xize." I kept on saying to him.
"It's okay. Dylan got her, they're on their way home. She just got grazed by a bullet." He reassured me.
After the event in the mall, Xize quickly guided me towards his Ferrari. Fussing over my body for any forms of wounds.
"What the heck Xize?! I told you I'm fine!" I finally burst out, getting weirded out by his actions.
"You say that now." He said sarcastically.
"What the hell do you mean by that?" I challenged him. Damn it, after what the girls and I have been through, I can't just take any sh!t from him right now.
He was unable to answer since his phone rang. He tapped his watch to answer it, connecting it to his earphone.
"Quian. Are you feeling okay?" He said in a soft voice.
"Great. She's with me now. Just take it easy when you get home. I'll just delay the club opening, we can do it in a few days." He spoke further.
After a series of hmmm. He spoke once again. This time I saw his demeanor changed.
"Fvck. Thanks Quian. I'll take care of it." He said in a clipped tone as if he was trying to control his anger.
He then hanged up and sped up the street as if we were running for our lives. I saw the veins at the back of his hands as he gripped the stirring wheel so tightly.
The speedometer read that we were already running at 180kph.
"What the fvck is wrong with you Xize?! Are you trying to get us both killed?! Have you forgotten that we just got back from an ambush?!" I chastised him.
"If I don't get us home quickly, I'll kill the first person that pisses me off on the street. Is that what you want?" He said in a deadly tone that shut me up.
What is wrong with him?!
We were home in a few minutes as Xize was driving maniacally.
When my feet hit the ground it was then that I remembered about Yue again.
Yue! Oh my god, how the hell could I forget her?! Stupid Xize.
I walked towards the mansion, wanting to check on her. I was about to ask one of the bodyguards when Xize suddenly grabbed me and pulled me towards the opposite direction.
"Let me go! I have to check on Yue! What's the matter with you?!" I kept on twisting my arms and trying all kinds of escape moves but he wouldn't let me go. He wouldn't even answer me.
He only stopped when we were inside the comfort of the ballet studio. He pressed a button in the remote control and a soundproof option came on. He then locked us in the room.
My senses were hyper alert as I try to decode his actions.
"What are you trying to do, Xize?! Don't fvcking mess with me right now. I'm worried about my best friend!" I screamed at him.
He was looking at me so intensely as if he was trying so hard to control himself. Breathing deeply, he finally decided to speak up.
"Are you okay?" He said after calming himself down, I saw hesitation in his eyes, as if he was on denial about something. Oh my god he's as bipolar as Dylan. Same birds really do flock together.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm fine? Well I am! Can I go now?" I said, exasperated by him.
"I meant, are you okay after meeting MARK?" He said the name with so much venom that I froze.
