"Who do you keep calling?" Rachel demanded.

It had been a few weeks, and Kurt had been talking to Sebastian nearly daily. When they couldn't call each other, they texted.

It was driving Rachel mad when Kurt didn't tell her. He was afraid of her reaction and he didn't want to have to explain it.

He was embarrassed of letting Blaine fool him.

If she knew he'd been talking to Sebastian, he'd have to explain, and then she'd know everything about how Blaine used him like he did everyone else.

"Nobody," Kurt said dismissively. His timer went off and he headed into the kitchen- he was making cookies to celebrate both of their successes. That, and Sebastian had mentioned a kind of cookie he'd had back in France and Kurt was determined to find the perfect recipe for it so he could make them for him.

While he was in his kitchen, his phone rang. Rachel, seeing that it had fallen out of his pocket, picked it up before Kurt could hear. She didn't have a chance to look at the caller's ID.

"Kurt, thank god, I knew you said you were busy today but it just couldn't wait, I called you as soon as I could-"

"Sebastian?" she asked, shocked. His voice faltered.

"Rachel. You, um, you are not Kurt. Where's Kurt?" Sebastian suddenly sounded alert. "Is he okay? Did something happen?"

"Why you're calling Kurt is the question."

"Rachel, is he okay? He guards his phone like a bear with it's cubs, how do you have it?"

"How do know that?" She could hear him panicking, but she was in too much shock to truly comprehend it.

"Is he okay? Rachel, what happened?"

Kurt walked back into the room, immediately panicking when he saw Rachel with his phone. "Rachel, why do you have my phone?" he practically shrieked.

"Kurt?"

Kurt immediately snatched his phone back from Rachel. "Sebastian?"

"Kurt, why did Rachel have your phone? Are you okay? Did something happen? What-"

"Sebastian, Sebastian, calm down," Kurt said quickly. He could hear Sebastian hyperventilating. "I'm okay, I'm fine. My phone fell out of my pocket and when you called Rachel answered, she'd been bugging me about who I'd been talking to nonstop."

"She didn't tell me why she had your phone, I thought something terrible had happened-"

"But nothing terrible happened, okay? I'm fine, you're fine, it's okay."

He could hear Sebastian's nod, his heavy breathing slowly evening. "Yeah. Yeah, it's okay. Nothing happened. You're okay. I'm already really anxious, I just worked myself up about it."

Kurt shot Rachel a glare. "But why did you call? Originally, you know."

"That's why I'm anxious. I knew you were planning on coming back so I needed to tell you this. Are you sitting down?"

"Am I sitting down?" Kurt repeated, mildly amused.

"I'm not joking. It's bad."

Kurt moved to the armchair next to Rachel, sitting down. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Okay. There's no easy way to put this, so I'm just going to say it. You know Blaine is back here, but..." he sighed before rushing to say it all in one breath. "Blaine is dating David Karofsky."

Kurt's phone slid out of his hand, falling onto the floor.

And he fainted.

"Kurt? You fainted, didn't you?"
