A/n: I get the feeling that Rohan doesn't get enough love so I would start off this "book" of oneshots with a Rohan x reader. If there are any spelling mistakes or sentences that dont make a whole lot of sense, tell me, so I can correct them. (Keep it civil people) Anyways let's get started.
You have just moved to Morioh about 3 weeks ago. You tried your best to learn Japanese, but it is a really difficult language to learn, when you are used to the latin letters. When you weren't trying your best to learn as much as you can, you would sketch around in your sketchbook, mostly being fascinated by humans. (I'm sorry to every artist who prefers landscapes or animals and creatures, you'll just have to roll with it) You would go outside, whenever the sun shines bright and sketch the people around you. This day was one of these days. You were sitting on a bench in the park, with your sketchbook held as close to your body as possible while drawing to hide as much of your sketches as possible. You didn't want people to think that you were weird or something for sketching them. They were just pretty good references after all. You don't need to go to school just yet since it's summer vacation here so you can focus on your studies and drawing. Sometimes you would see people your age in groups walking around having fun, chatting about God knows what. You didn't mind being alone for the first two weeks, but after some time it got quite lonely. You sat on the bench looking at all these groups walking around, having fun. You were focusing on them so intensely that you didn't notice first that someone sat down next to you. After some time passed you looked to your right to see an... interesting looking man sitting next to you, sketching. He had weird clothes on with a weird looking head band thing. You are not used to seeing people in such weird clothing so, you slowly took your sketchbook up and tried to be as sneaky as possible about sketching the person sitting next to you. After you were about half way done with the drawing, you looked to your right, only slightly turning your head, to look at the person sitting next to you. When your eyes met, you quickly averted them. You were scared that maybe he saw through you and was weirded out or angry, but instead he held his hand out.
"May I see?" He asked in a rather demanding voice with a hint of kind undertone. You slowly handed the sketchbook over to him, your hands shaking.
"You are not from here are you? I haven't seen you before." He asked, while he kept flipping through the pages.
"No, I moved here a few weeks ago."
After your answer an awkward silence fell between the two of you, the only sounds being the chirping of the birds and little kids playing around. You gathered up your courage to ask him something you wanted to ask for a few minutes now.
"May I see what you drew as well?"
"No." He said plainly before taking his eyes off your sketchbook, only to turn his head towards you to see your reaction. What was his problem? He was allowed to see your sketchbook, but you can't take a look at what he was drawing? 'That's not fair' you thought to yourself.
"May I know your name then?"
"Rohan Kishibe." He said rather in a rather cold manner, handing your sketchbook back to you.
"The anatomy is great, but I think you have a trouble getting the expressions of people's faces right." He stood up and was about to leave before turning back briefly.
"See you around." He said with a tiny smile on his face as he walked away. You looked in the direction, where he headed for a couple of minutes, before breaking out of your daze. You stood up and started walking home, but you saw a bookstore on your way. You went inside, not really having an idea of wanting to buy something or above all, what to buy if you would indeed choose to get yourself a book. You wandered around, slowing down at the manga section. You did prefer manga and comics over normal books, so it was understandable. A specific manga caught your attention. Pink dark boy? You tried to read the first few pages but your Japanese not being the best, you struggled to make a sense out of it, so you decided to look at the drawings, which were rather horrific. Really detailed and beautiful work. You tried to read the name of the author, but gave up on it pretty soon. You decided to buy the manga and try to read it later on for studying. After you bought a few of them, you put them in your handy dandy backpack and continued walking home. When you arrived you were greeted by your mother, who gave you a welcome home kiss on your forehead.
