it's the place where he found himself.
it was the place where he could
look out the small window and
see the yellow flowers grow in front of him.
it felt like some kind of little miracle,
to have this all to himself, but
he should've known it was too good to be true
because she walked into his life
and she never walked out.
he didn't know when she moved in next door,
but he thanks every decision that led to that moment.
he saw her through the window everyday.
she would come over and he would make green tea.
he would tell his stories and she would listen.
it felt like that, for once in his life,
everything was going better than before.
he felt like he had a brand new start
and it was all because of her.
he can still remember the look on her face
when he told her everything
she needed to know about him.
she ran out of there and he watched her leave
as he calmly stood at the window with his cup of tea.
maybe it was confusion or maybe it was fear -
he couldn't tell, but she came back to him,
and for that, he's forever grateful.
but then, things started to change,
and the girl that he fell in love with that summer
wouldn't look him in the eye.
it hurt more than anything he would ever feel.
he didn't know that she could make her
feel that way in the first place,
but I guess they were both full of surprises.
his were just a bit more intense,
but he told her everything there was to know.
he's ripped the heart out of every girl he ever loved
and she was no exception.
