A New Father

Insults hurled at me with so much might.
"Whom can save me from this terrible plight?"

Once again he has laid hands upon my face.
I cry now on the floor, he stands above me and remarks at me with, "disgrace."

"Is there no where safe, nowhere to go?"
My emotions toss me to and fro.

Nowhere to go, nowhere that is secure.
Once more must I endure.

Whom can save me, who can stop this!?
I can't forget and I can't dismiss but I must crawl out of this abyss.

Out of the darkness and into the light.
A place where your glory shines bright.

There you will hold me and call me your own.
You take ahold of my hand and I follow you to my new home.
