Chapter 26 Marinette Sobs?

  previously in part 25, Adrien walks away angry.

      Now for the current part, Marinette stands in the hallway as her jaw drops.  She is not sure what to do now.  She feels silly.  She thinks, perhaps, I just mess things up to much. 

    Natalie comes back to the hallway on her way to the parlor when she sees Marinette.  She can tell something troubles her.

    "Adri, is angry with me!"  Marinette says with tears in her eyes.

    "I will go speak to him."  Natalie says.

      Marinette nods her head as she runs. She stops once inside the parlor where she sits down. She just sits and lets the tears continue to fall down her face.

       Marinette mumbles under her breath, "Adri, why?"

          Alix whose done upstairs is now  downstairs,  and wears a  green dress. She sees Natalie and smiles. 

      "Natalie, did they kiss yet?"  Alix ask

     "No, they must have gotten into an argument." Natalie says

     "Nice dress!  Natalie says

    "Thanks, Natalie! " Alix says.

    "Oh, dear! Where is Marinette?" Alix ask

    "She went into the parlor.  Now I really must go talk to Adrien."  Natalie says. She walks away.

          Alix walks into the parlor and sure enough sees Marinette sad.  

           "Marinette, I am so sorry.  Natalie told me what took place."  Alix says.

          "Oh, Alix!  Adri, is angry with me!  I do not understand why." Marinette remarks.

          "Marinette, try not to worry.  I am sure he will come around."  Alix says

        "Nice dress."  Marinette mutters when she notices the outfit Alix wears now.

      "Thanks, Marinette!  I wonder if Robbie will like it."  Alix remarks

    Ding dong, ding dong... Just then the door bell rings...

      Whoever it is seems to be impatient as they pound on the door and continue to ring the bell non stop.

    Meanwhile, Natalie approaches Adrien...

       "Adrien son calm down!   Marinette is crying her eyes out right now!"  Natalie remarks.

    "So what?"  Adrien yells at her.

    "She is crying!"  Natalie repeats herself.

    "Wait, did you say she is crying?"  Adrien ask.

    "Yes, she is sad and in the parlor." Natalie answers.

     "Oh, no!  What have I done?"  Adrien says as he rushes out of his room towards the parlor area. 

        Adrien's  POV:

        He thinks to himself, what have I done?  I made her cry!  Just great, now I will never be able to convince her to give me a chance.  I should just listen to her and try to understand her.  I need to apologize to her.  I  almost lost her and now that she is alive, I hurt her feelings.  

       Marinette really is a better friend to me than I am to her.  She is right though, we are both royalty.  She knows this as well as I do.   I should never have made her feel like she was in the wrong.  It would not surprise me if she refuses to speak to me again.  I have to try to make things right between us.

     Back to the parlor with the young ladies...

      Alix hears the door bell ring, so she turns to Marinette.  "Marinette, I will go see whose is at the door!"  Alix says

    Marinette does not say a word. She just sits there and nods her head. She puts her head in her lap. 

     Marrinette's  POV:

    She thinks, is it that bad that I am not ready for a relationship yet?  I am just afraid since someone is after both me and Alix.   I can not be with someone when the crook, or criminals could still be out there. I could never forgive myself if anyone else were hurt because the person or persons after us were to harm anyone else.

     Alix walks to the door and opens it. She gasps when she sees who it is outside on the porch. She is not to happy to see whoever this person is that is for sure.  She screams,  "What are you doing here?  Go away, now!"

   Alix's  POV:  

   How dare he come here and with her!  He is not some one I wish to see.  Not  now, not ever! He should have kept away from me and from all of us!  He is not a good person.  He glares at me and just laughs.  He dares to laugh at me.   He was the one who hurt me!  He makes me so angry!

   *Author's Note:  Who on earth is at the door?  Why is Alix not happy to see them?
