"Hii baby girl," I cooed, smiling at Amarís while I finished fixing my tie to go to my first day at work at the post office in downtown LA, "You ready to go to work with mommy?"

I laughed once she looked at me like I was crazy.

Cradling her in my arms, "Well baby girl, you're gonna have to come only because mommy can't afford a babysitter... yet... Hopefully..." I sighed, "Plus godmommy Mira works a lot more often now. And I definitely don't trust these daycare centers these days. They be taking folks kids and I don't want that to happen to you Amarís because you're my whole world," I sweetly pecked her forehead, "I'd lose my mind if that happened," I murmured.

"Hey sis. You both ready?" Miracle asked after opening my door some.

"Yeah. I'm gonna use the bathroom really quick but do you mind taking Amarís with you to your car?"

"No problem. I love my little stank stank," Miracle smiled wide while lightly tickling her goddaughter.
My baby's smile is so cute!

"Mira you took your meds today right?"

"My what?" she looked up me.

"Nevermind. I'll go get -"

"Girl I'm playing. Of course I did," she laughed as I rolled my eyes at her childish ass.

"You play to much," I grinned going into my adjacent bathroom in my room and closed the door.

Sighing, "Just focus on the job and taking care of Amarís. Focus. Job. Amarís," I murmured pep talking myself with my eyes shut, "Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry..." I said holding back my tears of the painful memories of that night.

"I'll be okay... God, who am I kidding?"

 God, who am I kidding?"
