Treebros/ Book Club

"CONNER!!!!" Yelled Zoe. Conner groaned and got out of bed

"Yeah?" He asked

"Come to a book club meeting with me?" 

"Let me think about it, ummm, no" 

"please, you don't even have to be there for the full meeting." She said

"nahhh"

"I'll buy you ice cream!"

".... fine."

-zoom zoom to the book club bc I can't write sksksksk-

"Hello Zoe! Who is your friend here?" Mrs. Washington, head of the club asks.

"This is my brother; Connor." Zoe reply's sweetly.

"Well hello Connor, enjoy your time here!" Mrs. Washington says while shaking his hand. He nodded already wanting to get out.

"Okay everyone! Sit down, eat some cookies and tea, and lets talk about our book!" Spoke Mrs. Washington louder than before. Everyone else in the room sat down.

"So as you know, we left on our discussion on who you think this mystery girl is." Mrs. Washington said. Zoe turned to Connor real quick explaining the book they're reading is called 'The Girl In Cabin 10' by Ruth Ware. Connor only nodded in despair. 

As the group discussed, Connor looked around the room. He noticed a kid with a red hoodie cuddling another who has a striped shirt and blue sweater. 'Cute' he thought.

"Evan! What do you think about this?" Connor's thoughts were cut off by Mrs. Washington asking a question. 

"I-I well," A kid with a blue striped shirt paused and cleared his throat before continuing.

"I think, t-that she's going to h-hunt down t-the so called m-mystery girl and m-maybe search e-everywhere?" He said almost questioning it. In Connor's eyes; this kid was kind of cute. Dirty blonde hair, innocent personality (from what he can tell), and cute freckles. The kids leg was going crazy though, bouncing up and down faster than the speed of light. Connor could almost hear the sonic booms in the distance.

"Nice Evan!" Mrs. Washington smiled.

"Connor, since you're here today, you'll come back next time? I mean I have an extra book if you'd like to catch up." She asked. Connor thought for minuet. 

If he doesn't come back everything will be back to normal. But if he stays... he may see the boy again... what was his name... Evan?

"I would love to come back" He decided.

"Great!"

-time skip after book club-

As everyone filed out of the room, Connor took a risk and decided to talk to Evan.

"Hey! Evan, I was wondering... would you like to hang out? Or we could swap numbers. You seem like a chill dude." Connor asked.

"I-Uh sure!" Said Evan, heat rising up to his cheeks.
