(to my future love)
tucked in the corner,
of our favorite booth,
next to each other.
instead of across,
im trying hard to focus,
on reading the menu,
but your hand slipped,
under the tablecloth,
drawing imaginary doodles on my knee.
i looked up at you,
with love in your eyes.
i smiled at you,
and you smiled back at me,
and i feel the twinge in my heart,
and butterflies in my stomach,
because i knew you truly loved me,
and i loved you too.
