TMNT 2012- Endless Love

Struggle

Sadie: *sitting at desk, typing furiously on a laptop in front of her*

Leo: *knocks and opens the door, hearing a crack as the wood separates from the frame*

Sadie: *looks up, slightly startled*

Leo: *looks up at the door* Uh.. *looks down at Sadie* Hey, Sadie. *smiles almost sheepishly*

Sadie: *smiles back before resuming typing* Hi, Leo.

Leo: *awkwardly clears throat and walks into the room* We, uh, wanted to talk to you.. *waves his brothers into the room with him*

*the boys pile into the room, standing in a small crowd in front of the door, each holding a sheaf of papers with a sheepish look, except Raphael, who stands closest to the door glaring a little at Sadie with the manuscript of her new book in his hand*

Sadie: *looks up again, hands hovering over her keyboard, eyes flicking to the face of each sheepish-looking brother* *narrows eyes* What did you guys do?

Leo: *looking surprised, waving his hands in front of him like "no!"* Oh, no, nothing!

Raph: *crossing his arms* It's about the script.

Sadie: *blinks and raises an eyebrow* What about it? *looks worried* You guys don't like it?

Donnie: Whoa, *holds up copy of Sadie's manuscript* no, we love it! *smiles* You wrote us all in really well and gave us great lines! It's just.. *eyes flick to the right, rubbing the back of his neck* Well..

Raph: *holding up his own copy of the manuscript and pointing at it* *sounding incredulous* I'm not in the first SEVEN chapters! *holds out hands in a "wtf" kind of gesture* What is that!?

Sadie: *face heats up in embarrassment, brushing hair back* Umm..

Leo: We just wanted to know where you're going with this. *smiles encouragingly*

Donnie: *nods in agreement to Leo's statement* The plot just has some holes in it is all..

Sadie: *raises a brow again* Well, considering that I have to write a continuation of a very all-over-the-place story that I wrote six years ago, that should be expected. There were holes in the first story too.

Leo: Sure, yeah, we get that. *shrugs like "no big deal"*

Raph: What could you possibly gain by not having me in SEVEN CHAPTERS?? *crosses arms again, even glaring a little*

Sadie: *smiles softly* Honesty, guys, you'll have to hang in there. But trust me, I've got something BIG planned. Your acting skills won't go to waste, I promise. *winks playfully*

Mikey: Girl, they ain't wasted no matter what roles we play! *beams and flexes playfully*

Sadie: *giggles*

Raph: *roles his eyes*

Donnie: Well, whatever you have planned, I hope your readers are as excited about it as you are. *smiles*

Sadie: *smiles back, uncertainly glancing at the laptop* Yeah, me too.. *looks up at Raph* And Raph, for the record, you're playing the 'absent' role really well. *giggles*

Raph: *glares*

Leo: *chuckles and puts a hand on Raph's shoulder* *addressing Sadie* Just let us know when you've got the next draft. We're ready. *winks playfully and leads his brothers from the room*

Sadie: *places chin in palm when the boys leave, sighing softly* *mumbles to her reflection in the mirror above the desk* I guess I've gotta step up my game...
