A/n: give me some love guuuys
It was Friday when Dylan decided to go clubbing with his friends. It was Tyler's idea and Thomas and Daniel agreed too. They were concerned about their friend and his latest break-up due to his celebrity life.
—
He was drinking the fourth drink when he turned around and faced the dance floor. There were people moving in different ways, girls rocking back and forth sensually, guys flirting with drunk girls who would have not remembered anything the day after and-
His eyes lingered on a girl. He couldn't see her face cause of the flashing lights of the place and for the way her y/h/c hair was moving on her face. She was wearing a tiny black dress and swinging to the rhythm. He couldn't stop looking at her because she felt familiar. She turned around and his doubts were confirmed. It was y/n, the girl he broke up with two months prior.
She was an ordinary girl, she used to love him so much and gave him her all. Suddenly Dylan broke up with her without giving her not even a tiny explanation. Little did she know he broke up with her because he wanted to protect her from paparazzi and from his fans who were already beginning to attack her on social medias. He didn't want to keep her secret but he didn't want to expose her to these dangers, neither. He could not tell her the truth because he knew she would have agreed to be a secret and he would have not agreed on something like that. Y/n needed the best life ever and if he couldn't give it to her then he loved her enough to let her go and that's exactly what he did.
All of a sudden a pair of arms wrapped around her waist and she didn't do anything to stop them. She was literally dancing against someone that was pulling her hair out of way to have full access to her neck leaving grasping kisses on it. Before he could even realize it Dylan had his jaw clenched and his hands closed into fists. Rage filled his body when he walked toward them and saw their intimacy, the kind of intimacy he had with y/n, the same kind of intimacy he missed as hell.
Dylan recognized the boy who darted at as Cody. Cody Christian. And he felt even more pissed."O'brien, it's nice to see you!" Cody smiled at him and y/n looked up as she heard his surname finding the boy who broke her heart in front of her.
I wish I could say the same, he thought.
"Cody hello to you, well see you around." Dylan grabbed her wrist. "We are leaving." He looked at her and she jerked away.
"Actually, no we aren't." She looked at Dylan giving him an angry look. Who he thought he was breaking up with her and then thinking he had a saying on what she did.
"Y/n." He said firmly, Cody looking in between them.
"If it's all, I have better things to do." She turned around and wrapped her arms around Cody's neck who was chuckling and leaned in. Dylan closed his eyes and clenched his jaw. In a few seconds his fist collided with Cody's jaw letting him fall on the ground.
"What the hell?!" Y/n gripped his wrist looking for some kind of explanation and he simply asked her to follow him. That's exactly what she did.—
"What the hell was that?" Dylan asked y/n touching his chin.
"What?"
"You dancing like that, in that dress with that asshole!" He hissed.
"We were just dancing and-" She pointed a index towards him. "These are not your business, Dylan."
"It didn't seem just dancing to me." He muttered under his breathe, glancing away then back at her. She laughed in a mocking way.
"What? Like I said none of your business. You broke up with me, you told me I wasn't right for you and who do you think you are yelling at me for my clothes and for my flirting? You are insane, Dylan." She started walking away when she felt his grip on her wrist.
"You admitted you were flirting then." He stated with a hurt look on his face.
"Like I said, make up your mind." She jerked away and walked away.
"Y/n, I love you." He firmly said. "I really do fucking love you." He whispered.
She froze into place, without even turning around. She felt him behind her.
"No, no you don't."
"Yes, I do." He reached out to sweetly rub her arm when she turned around and looked at him, rage and hurting on her face features.
"You broke up with me Dylan, you told me you didn't give a fuck about me. You ruined everything." Tears at the corner of her eyes menacing to get out. "You ruined it all." She whispered glancing at her heels. She felt his hands on both of her cheeks and she looked up at him. His honey orbs filled with hurt tears.
"I know I did. But I had to. I had to protect you from this life I have. I didn't want you to get intoxicated by it, y'know. It's hard to believe but I did it for you, y/n. All for you."
"I could have been a s-secret, you know I would have d-done it. You had to tell me about all that, you know that." Her voice was shaking while she grabbed onto his t-shirt.
"I would have never kept you a secret. You deserved the best, y/n and I could not give it to you.""You were the best for me. You always were." Tears were coming down from her eyes. And Dylan's heart shattered.
"What? I could not have asked you something so selfish, y/n." He stroked her cheeks with his thumbs. "Don't cry, please."
"I wish you were selfish enough to ask me." He leaned in and she stared at those lips she missed before kissing him. Their lips moved in sync and it was easy. As if they fitted perfectly, as if they were made for each other. He pulled away softly.
"Maybe I won't be selfish but I can be brave enough to love you properly and protect you from this life I live in. If you will let me, 'f course." He whispered, a few centimeters from her lips.
"I love your bravery better." She smiled and pecked his lips again before hugging him tightly sealing his promise to love her from then on.
