{Ray's POV}

  [I didn't expect Y/N's mom to come today. I thought she was coming tomorrow. But, it's a good thing I'm always careful. Y/N and I are still going on our date tonight. Nothing is stopping me, not even her mother. I shook Candice's hand and guided her to a desk seated right by Y/N. That was a bad move. Y/N sent me a mean look. I smiled sheepishly and went to sit in my desk.]

  "So," I started. "You're here to talk about her grades in my class?"

  Candice nodded, while Y/N shook her head shamefully. "Yes, um, it seems like all of her grades are good in all classes, except yours. Y/N, do you have a personal problem with him?" She looked at her.

  Y/N stuttered, "N-No, I-I don't. I'm cool wit' Mr. Lopez, why?"

  Candice's face hardened. "You know why, Y/N, don't start wit' me today. You are failing this class. And, I wanna know why, Y/N. So, tell me."

  Y/N looked down. "I-I don't know."

  "Well, you better know," Candice said. "Cause if you fail the 11th grade... I'm gonna whoop yo' ass, cause you slippin' up. Now, get'cho act together. And don't make me come up here for the stupid ass grades up here again."

  I stood up when she did. I shook her hand, as Y/N followed, with her bag in hand. "It was nice meeting you, Ms. Owens."

  "Nice to meet you, too," she said, winking at me. "And please, call me Candi."

  [Y/N made a face behind her mother's back, which made me snicker. Candice pushed Y/N out while laughing and talking with her. As my door closed, I thought about our date. Since I could see in Candice's eyes that she was feeling for me, I had to come up with a bomb ass excuse to walk up yo her front door tonight, and get her daughter to go on this date with me. When I thought about it, I realized that this might be much harder than I thought.]
