Charles and Arthur were talking quietly by the fire, whilst having a cup of coffee. Although he did maintain a conversation with Arthur, Charles was solely focused on staring at you while you busied yourself with sewing some ragged shirts.
You sat on your own by a tree near the fire, but were too engrossed in your work to even acknowledge Charles' stare on your figure, albeit you did feel someone was watching you.
A few seconds later, you couldn't stand the feeling anymore, and suddenly glanced up; you met Charles' gaze before he could even think of looking away. For a few seconds, you kept eye contact. And as it dawned on you that he'd been, in fact, staring right at you, your cheeks reddened against your will. You bashfully looked back down and continued sewing, and heard Charles chuckling at this.
Arthur just rolled his eyes at the two of you, finding it quite rude that he was being downright ignored by his friend.
