23 - Reconciliation

Kasai is now awake with renewed strength. She opened her eyes and smiled.

However, Kasai's soul is now sealed within her body while it is now possessed by the soul and spirit of Orochimaru.

Orochimaru's thought communicating with Kasai.

I am happy to be back alive, Kasai. I get to do things my way.

Hmmmm....

I love this body of yours. So young and strong. I felt like a young man...

Kasai was struggling inside the prison cell trying to escape. But it was doubly-sealed.

Let me out of here Orochimaru. Don't you dare do something to destroy me.
Kasai shouted as the voice from within.

Don't worry Kasai... they wouldn't know this body isn't yours anymore. I will live as you and deceive them all. He laughed again.

Karin noticed that Kasai was awake.

"Oh darling you're awake. How are you now? Here bite me and suck on my chakra to regain yours." She offered herself. It is one of the abilities of Karin.

Kasai bit her and sucked her chakra. Orochimaru thought, I never thought it was such a pleasure to suck on her. That was why plenty of men abused her. They must have felt the fast transfer of chakra and the pleasure that gives an old man this heat. Hmmmm...

"Kasai aren't you sucking too much than what you usually do? You hated sucking from me." Karin wondered how Kasai had changed her attitude towards sucking out her chakra. Kasai would normally be complaining for she hated the taste of her chakra.

"Kasai, why do I feel like you had pleasure in it? This time, you're just obedient." Karin added.

Orochimaru stopped and made an excuse, "I was just too drained mama. Thanks anyway"

He thought, what a waste. But I couldn't blow my cover. Karin had been with me for many years, she might realize I possess her daughter's body now. It would be trouble if she tells Sasuke... I have never won over Sasuke.

"It's ok my child." She pats her head.

"By the way I want you to reconcile with Sarada. I have talked to her and she is not angry with you anymore. She also won't ask for her eyes back. Since she is now comfortable being blind. " Karin ordered Kasai.

"Really? I am also tired of being angry at her. It wasn't her fault to be papa's child." Kasai replied in obedience.

"Wow that is something new Kasai. You do not easily submit to my decision. You would normally argue first." Karin wondered again. She thought Kasai was too good to be true.

"Hush mama, I was just acting. I heard she is coming. I still don't like her. But I have other plans. You will know soon." Kasai whispered.

" What? I want you to reconcile for real. Let's just stop this battle between sisters and concentrate on our plans for the world." Karin said in a low voice.

Sarada came in the room and said. "Are you okay Kasai? I was worried you won't be awake for long. But it took you less than 24 hours to recover."

"Thanks for the compliment. I am a hard horse you know." Kasai joked.

They all laughed.

"Thanks again for saving Baku. I really appreciate it." Kasai held her hand.

"You're welcome. I am the one who is thankful to him. He saved me." Sarada said.

"Where is he mama?" Kasai asked.

"He is still sleeping." Karin answered. "But don't you dare date him. I heard your drama. Kasai he is just our guard."

"Don't worry mama. He's just my friend. I am just concerned for him. Nothing more." Kasai assured her mama.

Orochimaru thought, Of course I won't go for just a guard. How stupid.

Kasai's real soul laments over Baku and herself. She was crying inside when she heard news about Baku sleeping.

My poor friend. He was the only one who truly loved me.
Now that I think of it. I wasted my time with Boruto.

Baku was even better than him. How I wished I knew earlier.

I liked him too. I wouldn't mind loving him. I would rather marry him than those rich men courting me with different motives. They're after either my beauty or fame.

But Baku is different, I am comfortable to be myself with him. I guess I love him too.

Why do I have to realize it this late? I am stucked in this prison. Orochimaru is ruling my body.

She was angry and kicked the prison cell.

"Orochimaru don't you dare hurt Baku!" She shouted.

Orochimaru heard Kasai's angry voice and just smiled. Then she turned to Sarada.

" Sis, I am sorry for stealing your eyes." Kasai said with sincerity.

"It's ok now, Kasai. I have forgiven you a long time ago. I know you are also suffering. Being blind isn't bad after all." Sarada smiled.

"Really? Thanks sis. " Kasai pretended to smile with bliss.

"Yes sis. I have also heard from the news that you used those eyes for greater purpose. You have stopped the world war by using the eternal mangekyo to diffuse the nuclear bomb. You saved many lives with those eyes. I couldn't have done it on my own skills." She added.

"That was nothing Sarada. " Kasai said with arrogance.

"No it's a big thing sis. I felt like it was God's will for my eyes to be yours now. I am in fact proud of you Kasai." Sarada was teary-eyed as she said those words sincerely.

"Thanks sis. But just think of it as a team effort to save the world. I couldn't have done it without your eyes. So then it would be your eyes plus my body and skill." Kasai giggled, so did Sarada and Karin.

"So can we start over? " Kasai offered.

"I'd love to, Kasai. Let's not fight anymore." Sarada offered her hand for handshake.

Kasai embraced her and so does Sarada.

Sarada thought, thank you God for restoring my relationship with my sister.

Orochimaru thought, hmpt, gullible girl....I love that. I can use you for my purpose.

Kasai's soul shouted from within. "Orochimaru, what are you planning with my sister?!"
