you were sitting in class. talking to your friend ranno. he was actually your crush. you had known him since middle school. he was an amazing friend and wasn't hesitant to beat the crap out of someone who hurt you be it emotionally or physically. it just felt nice to be around him. he was caring and considerate of your feelings and is the same with others feelings. " wanna go to the ding dong tree tonight? I heard that from it you can see the stars. out there it gets really clear at night and its so nice to relax out there " ranno said. you smiled and nod. you felt your heart race at the thought of getting a chance alone with the handsome cute frog. " then after that would you wanna come sleep over at my place? " ranno asked. you had sleepovers at his house before. you nod. " mhm! " he smiled. oh god that smile was adorable. he closed his eyes. " im happy to hear that. I really do like spending time with you Y/N " he said. you blush lightly "I do to ranno! " you said. the PA system turned on. telling you to get to your next class. you walked to class together. you could hear people whispering as you walked past them. you could barely hear that some of them said but there were two girls standing around. one a wolf and the other was a red fox. the red fox was looking over with the wolf at you two. " I wonder who is gonna ask first. Y/N or ranno " she said. the wolf smirked " its gonna be ranno. Y/N is to shy to ask him. im just imagining them together when he asks and it would be soo cute! I so hope that ranno asks Y/N to the homecoming dance!  " she said. your face turned red. they realized you could hear them and started giggling. you hurried to class with ranno. not noticing the soft blue blush on his face. he had heard the girls as well. you sat down and class went on as usual. soon. it was time for final attendance. you walked upto your friend etalus. " sooo hows it going? working up the courage to ask ranno to the dance I mean. " he asked. you sighed. " i dont know if I can do it.. what if he doesn't wanna be more then friends? what if I ruin our friendship for one dance? one stupid dance that could cost me my 2 to 4 years of friendship with the greatest guy ive ever met.. " you said. " how will you know what is the answer is if you don't try? ive seen how he acts around you. give it a chance. if you don't wanna dive right in. test the waters first. little movements. see how he reacts. " etalus said. " if worse comes to worst just ask orcane " etalus laughed. you giggled. " your right etalus.. I should try at least. " you said. once the school day came to an end. you walked outside where ranno was waiting for you. not noticing you yet as he was reading a book. a relaxed look on his face. you blush lightly. why did little moments like these make your heart go crazy? after a few minutes. he turned to you. finally noticing your shadow then followed it to you. you smiled " oh! Y/N, I didn't notice you there " he said. " hehe I noticed. I didn't wanna bother you. you looked so peaceful and didn't wanna interrupt sorry" you said. "it's alright. so. wanna head to my place and grab some stuff to go to the ding dong tree? " the blue frog asked. getting up and grabbing his duffle bag and putting the strap over and across his chest. setting the strap on his opposite shoulder. you smile and nod. holding your favourite book to your chest. you both started to walk to his house. after a short walk you got to his house. you sat and talked for a little bit until it got dark enough to be able to see the beautiful stars in the darkness of night. you walked to the ding dong tree. you sat down the stuff you packed. " you were right ranno.. it is beautiful out here " you said. laying back on the soft and cool grass. a little bit of morning dew covering the grass. you say ranno lay next to you. ranno nodded to your statement. " it really is " he spoke softly. he kept looking at the beautiful dark blueish black sky. the stars hanging over your heads. sparkling such a beautiful white light through the darkness. the moon ever so slightly illuminating your bodys under the stars. " youve been my best friend for years Y/N. i wanted to thank you for sticking by me for so long. you.. you really helped me grow and learn around the world when I had no other way to. " he said. " and thank you for showing me that its good to take time to yourself for once and stuff. your really important to me ranno.. " you said. you gulp lightly and reach out your hand to his. you hesitated. etalus's words echoing in your head. you reach out and gently take hold of it. feeling your cheeks go red. he looked over at you. your heart was going wild. you felt his hand gently clasp around yours. a small smile on his face. after a few minutes of laying there in quiet. you heard a voice. " well well well what do we have over here? blue boy and his little trap of a boyfriend. " you gasp as you sit up. turning and seeing wrastor leaning against the ding dong tree. smirking. " wrastor what do you want? me and Y/N are a little busy at the moment. we came here to relax. " ranno said. " tch. oh shut it blue boy. I wanted to know why you hang around trash like him. if you really wanted you could have been hanging with me instead. but you insist on spending your time. with this little trap. " wrastor said. you looked away from ranno. you try to slip your hand out of his but he doesn't let go. " you have one more time to insult him before I kick the crap out of you wrastor. don't make me do that. you know im a pacifist " ranno said. glaring at wrastor. wrastor smirked. " bring it blue boy! im gonna beat you to the floor along with your little slut- " before wrastor could finish that sentence ranno slipped his shoes off not even a second before kicking wrastor in the face with force. wrastor fell back from the force of the kick and landed on the ground. letting out a loud pained sound. ranno landed on his feet just after the kick. back straight while he looked at the bird. " get out of here wrastor. I warned you and you didn't listen. now leave before i make you " ranno spoke with calmness. but you could see his hands clenched into fists. wrastor sneered. he got up and grumbled as he shoved his feathered hands ( ???@_@ ) into his pockets and walked away. ranno put his shoes back on and sat down. letting out a heavy sigh. you rub your arm. looking away. " you okay? " ranno asked. you sighed deeply. pulling your knees to your chest. " im sorry i dragged you into that ranno.. " you said. " dragged me into it? no you didnt do anything Y/N. wrastor is a jerk to everyone i dont think its anything against you " he said. you shook your head. " i havent told you this.. but wrastor has been bullying me for the last few months... I was hanging out with one of my female friends and wrastor told me to introduce him to her so he could try to get with her. I told him no and that she had just gotten out of a serious relationship.. and hes hated me since.. " you said. you felt ranno wrap an arm around your shoulder. " don't worry. im gonna be here to protect you alright? no need to worry about wrastor anymore. im here for you. " he said. you smile softly. your heart was swelling. how was he so.. kind hearted? so sweet? always calm and collected. you yawned lightly. you felt ranno lay back against the grass. pulling you down with him. your head resting on his shoulder. you blush and look at him. his eyes were closed while he was smiling softly. ' how will you know his answer if you dont try.. " you remember what etalus said. you look at ranno. " r-ranno? " you asked. sitting up and looking at him. " yeah? " he asked. "I wanted to tell you something.. " you said. " what is it Y/N? " he asked. a painful feeling went through your chest. the built up anxiety and fear all coming up at one time. ranno. knowing that you needed time to get words out where your anxious. stayed quiet. "I....I wanted to tell you something important.. " you said. " I... I want to... I want to be more then just best friends.. " you said. "I want to be the one that you hold on cold dark nights like this. to be the one you can call your own.. I know you most likely dont feel the same. ive been wanting to ask you to the homecoming dance.. I just wanted to tell you. I love you ranno.. " you said. everything went quiet. before you felt a hand on your chest. pushing you down onto the grass. you gasp as you hit the soft grass. a hand was firmly planted just above your head while the other was on the ground near your side. you looked up and ranno was looking down at you. he was on top of you. those beautiful passive eyes looking down into yours" Y/N. you just expressed the feelings I've felt for you for so long.. having you so close to me and not being able to hold you the way I wanted just killed me inside. of course i will go to the homecoming dance. I would love to be yours. if you will accept me. " he said. looking into your eyes. your eyes widened. tears pricked your eyes. he smiled softly and kissed them away. he leaned in close. wrapping his arms around your body. holding you in a secure embrace. pressing against him. he kissed you gently. " I love you ranno. no one will change that " you said. "I love you to Y/N. no bully will ever change that " he said. holding you in his arms. you both looked back into the sky. laying there. your handsome blue frog holding you close.
