RADIATION

Sometimes, while lying on the bed,
I place my phone over my chest
Right on top of my heart
And breathe in the radiation -
The cells soaking in the cancer -
And I marvel at how short life is,
How fast the wheels of time are,
And how miniscule we are.
I think about the radioactive materials available on earth
And why we cannot touch them bare -
And I marvel at how apocalyptic life is,
How disastrous time is,
And how much decaying flesh we are made of.
