happy birthday mahiru and hina! | {dr1/sdr2}

Happy Birthday to Mahiru and Aoi~! Here are three oneshots written by me (-brooketh) to celebrate their birthday because they are two of my personal favorites. Both oneshots are character x character, so if you aren't into character x character (all of it is girl x girl), so feel free to skip this chapter!

Happy Birthday, Hina :

Aoi Asahina got up, she was one of the last seven survivors after Celeste's execution, with her best friend Sakura, Makoto, Byakuya, Toko, and Kyoko.

"Breakfast, Hina!" Sakura called from outside of Aoi's dorm as she pulled on her red jacket over her white shirt that she would always wear. "Ready, Sakura!" Aoi chirped, walking out of her room and walking with Sakura to join the others in the dining hall.

"Mornin'!" Aoi smiled when she and Sakura arrived at the dining hall, seeing as everyone had showed up that morning. She recieved a chorus of "Hey Hina!"s along with some "Good Morning!"s as well.

Aoi and Sakura sat down at a table, Sakura getting out two protien shakes as Aoi got up to go get some food. "I'll get some donuts for myself, want anything Sakura?" Aoi asked, and Sakura just requested a piece of toast. Aoi walked into the kitchen, getting a plate of four donuts and Sakura's toast.

Aoi made her way back to the table and she scanned the room. Makoto, Kyoko, Byakuya, Yasuhiro and Toko seemed to be at the center table talking, but Aoi just wanted to spend some time alone with Sakura.

"So Sakura, what do you want to do today?" Aoi asked in her full-of-spirit tone. "I dunno, maybe we could go to the dojo, or go swimming?" Sakura suggested, and Aoi smiled before eating a donut. "That sounds good!" Aoi explained, but it was a bit muffled and crumbs fell out of her mouth as she said it because she had a whole donut in her mouth.

"Hina, swallow before you speak," Sakura laughed a little. "Sorry Sakura! Donuts are my true love~!" Aoi smiled, eating another one before taking a few sips of her protien shake. Once the two had finished breakfast and protien shakes, they made their way to the dojo to practice a bit, and then they made their way to the pool for a long swim.

Once in their swimsuts, Sakura and Aoi made their way to the pool, with Aoi jumping in and Sakura using the stairs at the end to slowly walk in. "This is fun!" Aoi grinned, doing all kinds of swimming tricks and making her way over to Sakura.

"You're quite talented at swimming, even for the Ultimate Swimming Pro," Sakura smiled. "Aw thanks, I think you're pretty good at martial arts too!" Aoi said, sitting on a step next to Sakura. Sakura blushed a little bit, attempting to hide it but nobody would've been able to notice it with her brown skin that some could even say was tinted with red and the scars all over her body from years of training.

Aoi sat down next to Sakura and rested her head on Sakura's shoulder, feeling quite tired. "You okay, Hina?" Sakura asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired. I'll be okay in a second if I get some...rest..." Aoi trailed off, falling a sleep on Sakura's shoulder.

Sakura just sat there unmoving, not wanting to wake Aoi, but also not wanting to move from the peaceful moment. Sakura didn't know when either of them could be killed or could be driven to kill. She cared for Aoi so much, but she knew feelings couldn't get in the way of finding the mastermind.

"Sakura...?" Aoi muttered about an hour after falling asleep. "Ah, Hina. You're awake," Sakura softly smiled, allowing the other girl to get up off of her shoulder and dunk her head under the water to wake up.

"Oi! Sorry, I dunno what happened there. I just got really tired for some reason," Aoi apologized, rubbing her eyes to try and wake herself up. "It's fine Hina." Sakura smiled, getting up and going deeper into the pool.

"Sakura!" Aoi shouted when Sakura had splashed her. Sakura let out a small laugh when Aoi splashed her back, and thus began the splashing fight that would go on for a few more minutes.

"Hina..I have something to ask you." Sakura said, out of the blue. "Yeah, what is it?" Aoi asked, still swimming around the pool. "Would you ever...say, date a female?" Sakura asked, earning a surprised gasp from Aoi. "I mean, yeah...you shouldn't decide who to date based off of gender...but what brought it up?" Aoi confessed while swimming over to sit next to Sakura.

"Oh, no reason." Sakura said, resting her hand on Aoi's and enjoying the rest of their day together.

Happy Birthday, Mahiru :

"Mahiru!" Hiyoko giggled, running around the red-headed freckled girl in the restaruant waiting for the others to arrive. "Hiyoko, slow down!" Mahiru laughed, trying to get control of the smaller girl who was currently on a sugar high from all of the gummies she had eaten earlier.

"Hiyoko! Everyone will be here for breakfast soon, then you can run around the island all you want!" Mahiru tried to reason with the currently crazy Hiyoko. "Hiyoko! Have mercy!" Mahiru laughed, finally getting control of Hiyoko as everyone began to file into the restaraunt.

Everyone ate and talked, it was pretty peaceful for a breakfast before a day that anyone could be killed. "Well, Nagito and I are going to head out," Hajime smiled, they always went off together to do who-knows-what, but Mahiru didn't see the need to question it. It was their buisiness after all.

"Gundham, Ibuki, Kazuichi and I shall do the same!" Sonia said, she seemed to travel in a group with those three more often now that Kazuichi and Ibuki were dating and she was more comfortable around Kazuichi.

"Akane and me are going to go train, right Akane?" Nekomaru asked, earning a nod from Akane as the two left together. "Peko and I have some things to do." Fuyuhiko said, leaving with Peko. After they left, Mahiru and Hiyoko couldn't find Mikan anywhere so they assumed she must've snuck out without saying goodbye.

"What should we do today, Mahiru?" Hiyoko beamed. "I dunno, I still want to get those pictures of you dancing," Mahiru smiled, squating a bit so she was Hiyoko's height. "Yes! Dancing, dancing, dancing!" Hiyoko smiled, twirling around a little.

"Okay, let's head to the beach, the view is great there." Mahiru said, getting up and taking Hiyoko's hand before leading her out of the Hotel and towards the beach.

When they arrived at the beach, Hiyoko began to do a small dance as Mahiru took pictures of any angles that seemed good for her. "Ah, Hiyoko! Your Kimono sash is coming undone, I must not've tied it very well!" Mahiru exclaimed, stopping Hiyoko to re-tie her Kimono sash before continuing.

"Awe, Hiyoko, these pictures are so beautiful!" Mahiru beamed, flipping through all of the pictures. "Ooh! Lemme see!" Hiyoko said, reaching up to pull Mahiru down to her level so she could see the pictures. "These are nice," Hiyoko said, looking at all of the pictures Mahiru had taken. "You're good at taking pictures, Mahiru!"

"Thanks," Mahiru smiled, sitting her camera down and placing the smaller girl in her lap. Hiyoko was blushing, but she looked towards the crystal blue water to hide it from Mahiru.

"This is borinngg!" Hiyoko complained, turning around to face Mahiru so the taller girl was the one who was flustered this time. "I dunno what we could do," Mahiru managed.

"Hugs!" Hiyoko suggested, well it wasn't exactly a suggestion as much as Hiyoko telling Mahiru what she was about to do. Hiyoko gave Mahiru a hug and a kiss on the cheek, causing both girls to blush and look away. They continued the day as if nothing had happened―but both of them secretly wished that it had lasted longer.

Also happy birthday to my dad, my dog (she's one today uwu) and one of my best friend (why tf is everyone's birthdy on april 24th lmao)
