Chapter 5 - New Beginning

I didn't go to the hanging. It's not my thing. So instead I made sure my ship and crew were ready for our next adventure. Whatever that would be. I checked off one of the last things we needed. "Ok Lemming we just need to load those last crates and barrels of spices and we are golden." I stated not looking up from my clipboard. "Leaving so soon?" I looked up to find that the source of the voice. It was James. I smiled at him. "Yeah. I am. I'd stay but. I owe some people some things. And if I don't get them to them. Well.... let's just say they won't be very forgiving." I said. "Ah I see. I understand. I'm not staying long either." James replied smiling. "Going after Jack ay?" I asked. "Indeed. I have to. I've given him two days head start." James chuckled. "Well then bet not waste any time." I said with a small laugh. James just nodded. "Corene?" He asked. "Yes?" I replied. "I'm sorry. For what happened all those years ago. I had no place to say what I did." James said and looked at the ground sadly. I put a hand on his shoulder causing him to look up. "It's ok. I forgave you a long time ago. Don't blame yourself. It's ok." I said with a kind smile. "Thank you corene. Port royal has been very different without you." James replied. I nodded and hugged him. He surprisingly hugged me back. I smiled as we pulled a part. "I better be going but...... we will see each other again no doubt." I smiled. "I'll hold you to that." James stated. I nodded with a smile. James kisses my hand. "Until we meet again Celestial Swann." James said with a laugh. I laughed and smiled. With that he walked away. I boarded the celestion. And soon we set sail. I knew I'd be back here. Sooner rather than later. But I knew one thing for sure. This was going to be an amazing new beginning.
