I spread my white wings, blasting into the dazzling top of the globe. The sun was now setting, and the sky was a wondrous orange-pink view.
I glanced down, observing the flowery ground that was now far, far below me. I felt proud and glad for not feeling a hint of that devastating panicky feeling. When I was only a chick, my friends would tease me endlessly about my horrible fear of flying too high in the sky.
Not anymore though, I thought. I now loved the breeze against my feathers. Loved the peacefulness. Loved the feeling of being free to adventure without worry.
Oh, and how awful it must be for those who cannot adventure freely. How awful it would be if I could no longer fly, and was stuck without any adventure.
Going for a fly just to enjoy myself, is surprisingly extremely relaxing. I could close my eyes, let my imagination explode and run wild as much as it would like. I could chirp as loud as I wanted, no one to tell me not to.
Though the air was polluted because of careless humans, I chirped my favourite song and dove even higher into the sky with a feeling of content.
