I had woke up this morning with a splitting headache and all the blankets on the floor...... yaaay. Mason had left the house without pants so I had to bring him some in the gas station bathroom. Yvonne and mykah are still asleep as far as I know..... I have no idea, I'm at city hall right now.

As I have said I have to speak to them of the severity of what happened to the schools money. Sitting on this bench already freaks me out. There are public officials everywhere and judges are running around. A lot of business men walk past me with a scorn look on their face.

"Carter, the council Will see you now."

The secretary led me down a series of hallways. At this point all the doors were made of wood. They are bigger than me and hold much detail to explore. The secretary held a soft smile but also held a stern gaze.

She opened a door for me and I stepped inside. A rush of cold air came and the door closed behind me. The council sat in there chairs writing things and exchanging small conversations to each other.

"Mr. Carter it has came to our attention that the school along with part of the city has been suffering from dipping funds. We are on a low budget as it is. You're name was found on the bank transfer statements."

"Yes, that's why I am here I do n-"

"It has been determined that you are not the reason why we are losing funds."

"W-why am I here then?"

"We need you to find the person. The mayor thinks that you have done it and without him on board he will send for a trial and with your name on the papers they will send you to jail. The mayor has agreed for you to clear your name and he has agreed that we ate allowed to help."

"With the mayor, Wouldn't he try to help too."

"Well going back in records we have actually determined that it was one of your enemies who was elected and it is to our understanding that he will try to stop everything you do."

"And who is this?"

"A Mr. Joey Landon."

My heart stopped. Joey was one of those kids who helped adrian with everything. When adrian wasn't around he was the problem I had to deal with. Though all of this is happening he was friends with Mason and had a double agent thing going on.

"It is to my opinion that this is the doing of adrian adams."

"We thought you might say that but he has been locked up."

"Actually as of 10:00pm last night it was said that he has broken out."

"Sir no man can do anything like that from a prison."

"Adrian has always found a way, it is for me to conclude that he has found a way to do it."

"You cannot blame this on an assumption, especially one that unbelievable."

"It is not an assumption its a gut feeling."

"Do not speak of instinct to this court."

"It was Adrian!"

"Calm yourself mister Carter, you are to listen to us, the council."

"You, have done nothing. And I feel that you're not going to."

"Thats it! Mister carter I have listened to your shenanigans long enough. We are to help you, you are to go and see mayor."

"No..... you are to help me not order me around listen to what I have said and take it into account. I will not let people trample me again look in the records in the city budget see if anyone there had a connection to Adrian that is where we will start. You are to help not demand things of me."

The council said nothing to me. They in fact yelled at the secretary to escort me off the property. As she walked me away the just looked at me infuriated that I had an opinion on this. I know it was Adrian, I know that he has found a way like he always does we have to find a way. It started to rain outside so I ran as fast as I could to the house. The rain, on the otherhand, Did not wait so when I got home I was soaked.

"How did it go?"

"Council agreed to help clear my name. But their gesture was empty. When I tried to explain the course of action they came in guns a blazing and demanded I follow them."

"Are they still trying to help?"

"I don't know but I know that the mayor, joey Landon, is unconvinced that I didn't do it."

"Joey Landon.".

When I answered yes Masons face turned red snf and balled up his fists. Without any words Mason walked out of the house and started down the street.

So obviously he has a problem with him..... I'm going to need some help.

I pulled out my phone and went to the window..

"Yes, this is Carter. Adrian has escaped, I need the truth can you help......... good okay, they'll never know what hit them.
