Chapter 40

Erika's POV
When I looked down to see that there was A- hole in the side of my shoe. I don't know how that got there but it's okay. I turned around and remembered that the team is already in the field getting ready so I ran back to my bag and grabbed my extra pair of shoes and put them in and tied them. A minute later I was done. So I pushed open the locker room door and it's all quite. I run on to the field And everyone starts to chant my name and just screaming. I laugh and run to the bench and told them what happened. We set up on the field and now they start with the ball. After A- couple minutes of them trying to get near our net they do and some how they scored. We set the ball back And I passed it back. We played with it and it went to Tessa then she passed it to Mackenzie and then to rocky  she then crossed it in and I was the only one there and headed it in the net. We all went crazy An- dot was 2-1 us. Some time went on and there was 30  min left and you can tell the other team was getting mad. And I had the ball and was about the cross it to rocky who was in the box but I literally got knocked down. You can tell they weren't going for the ball. I stayed on the ground and Tessa came up to me while I was in my back and it went silent

T- Erika you good
E- yea just give me A sec
T- take your time
E- okay her give me your hand

Tessa pulled Erika up and everyone cheered

Jakes POV
Erika got knocked to the ground and I was about to run on but chanthony stopped me. I saw Tessa put out her hand And help her up. And they then continued to play

20 minutes left and Mackenzie has the ball and the other team put both hands on her back and pushed her down. Erika was right there

I was right behind The girl that pushed Kenzie down and I went up to the girl while I went up to her the trainer came bc Kenzie didn't get up and the ref was dealing with another fight that was going on

E- why you doing that you didn't even go for the ball
C- whatever bitch you have nothing to do with this
E- yea I do. I'm the captain
C- *sarcastically* oh my god your the captain
E- yea An- da captain is supposed to stick up for there team
C-well it doesn't look like it

The ref was walking over to where Erika was
