Vaishnavi: (wipes the washed dishes and stacks them in the kitchen): I don't understand ..

Surru: (follows her to the kitchen): What is there not to understand Vadhina..now anyways you have not gone with your father so as well come..

Vaishnavi: (notices Vijay enter the kitchen): Vijay, you are back?..you want something to eat..I will make some bhajiyas..go fetch everyone..

Surru: Vadhina..if you make bhajiyas now..when will we go?

Vijay: Go for what?

Vaishnavi meanwhile sets everything up for making bhajiyas.

Surru: I have movie tickets..I want to take her..

Vijay: I am hungry and I want bhajiis..

Vaishnavi: that's why..go upstairs and call your annaiyaa..

Surru: OH ho..I know what this is..vadhinaa...very smart..

They watch NR enter..

NR: Vaishnavi..your father is on the phone..

Vaishnavi: Which phone?

NR: My cell phone..I left it upstairs..

She leaves the kitchen..NR gets a wad of notes from his wallet..hands them to Vijay and Surru..

NR: GO shopping ..

Vijay: I don't shop! I am hungry!

NR: (removes some more notes): Go eat elsewhere..

Surru: (grins and fans herself with the wad): Places I shop cost more than this..

NR: (hands her his wallet): Its got credit cards..for god's sake get the hell out of the house..

Surru: (smiles): Should I lock it from outside?

Vijay: (innocence): Whats going on:? Vaddhina was going to make bhajjiyas for me..

NR: Go to a restaurant and have chilli chicken..

Vijay: (starts settling down at the counter stool): Frankly Vadhina;s vegetarian cooking beats all of that food anyday

NR: (physically lifts Vijay off the chair): Seriously!! I am giving you my wallet...just get the hell out of here..

Vaishnavi enters the kitchen..

Vaishnavi: Eevandii..I cannot find your phone..

NR: Come I will help you look for it..

Vaishnavi: Nana (father) must have hung up

NR: (dragging her out of the kitchen): We will call him back..come come..

Surru: (hiding the notes behind her back): Vadhina..call later..now lets go for the movie..

Vaishnavi: Eevandi..it was not urgent..was it?

NR: (glares at Surru): It could have been ..lets go..

Vijay: Vadhina..I am hungry..

NR: (mouths): F!@#$% OFF..(sternly): Vaishu..!!!!...RA!!! (come!)

Vaishnavi follows NR into their bedroom..he can hear his cousins giggle..and watches his wife take the home extension and call his phone..

NR: (takes the receiver from her hand): You know my number?

Vaishnavi: (assents): Hmm..(watches him keep the receiver back)

NR: Then why didn't you ever call me?

Vaishnavi: (glances at her toes and softly): What would I say?

NR: (tips the nosestud with his finger): Anything

Vaishnavi: Like?

NR: (kisses her nosestud): Will you kiss my nosestud?

Vaishnavi: (smiles and holds his face): Inkaa? (what else?)

NR: (kisses her eaarings and bites her lobes): Will you nibble my ears?

Vaishnavi: (winces a little): Inkaa? (what else)

NR: (unravels her hair): Will you unwrap my hair?

Vaishnavi: (helps him unbraid..their eyes never leaving each other's): Inkaa? (what else)

NR: (lifts her): Will you ever hold me?

Vaishnavi: (buries her face in his chest): Inkaa? (what else)

NR: (lays her on the bed and kisses her stomach): Will you ever touch me..?

Vaishnavi: (moans and bites her lip): Inkaa? (what else)

NR: (kisses her neck and wraps her pallu around his hand): DO you like me in a saree??

Vaishnavi: (her hands travel over him): INkaa?? (what else)

NR: (his fingers untuck her pleats): Do you like me out of a saree??

Vaishnavi: (hoarsely): Inkaa?? (what else)

NR: (fingers her hooks and kisses her): Will you feel my heart??

Vaishnavi: (shuts her eyes and pulls his hair and whispers): Inkaa? (what else)

NR: (stares at her longingly): Will you be my heart??

Vaishnavi: (stares at him longingly): And what would you say??
