His vision blurred and his eyes burn from the light shining in. He blinked multiple times, adjusting to the light and focused his attention to the opening of the fort. The wind was still and the crunching of leaves continued towards Five's direction.
He sat up on the bed, huddling in the corner, while rubbing his nose to stop the blood from running down.
The blanket on the opening of the fort was pulled back, surprising Five and the boy who just opened it.
The boy had brown hair with a bowl haircut and was about Five's age. The boy cocked his head in confusion as Five jumped up, ready to fight him.
"Hey, hey, hey. I'm not here to hurt you. Um who are you?" The bowl cut boy threw his hands up not wanting to get attacked.
Five narrowed his eyes at the boy who stood shorter than him in the doorway. Should I trust him?
"I uh I don't want to hurt you. I just want to know who you are and-"
"Byers?" Five asked.
The bowl cut boy scratched the side of his neck, "Uh yeah, that's my last name. My first name is Will. Um what's your name?"
Five raised an eyebrow at Will. He rolled up his jacket sleeve showing his tattoo.
