You're All the Sweet I Need

You’re the Cheer-i-os I need, on the days with little cheer.
You’re my Cinnamon! Toast! Crunch! when my crunch has disappeared.

The way you snaP, crackle, POP!
Has my jaw in a constant drop.

You’re my sugar and my cream,
Hiding the black within me.
And you’re the  single cube of ice
To cool off all my steam.

You’re my sugar in the morning:
Singing, dancing, turning.

You’re my tiny, purple gummy-bear:
A life saver,
Sweet as honey, dear.

You’re the rainbow to my nerd;
The rope holding me together.
You’re ice cream from Bluebird;
The flavor I prefer.

You’re the apple to my pie;
The apple of my eye.

And, you’re the right amount of green I need,
To keep me healthy; to keep me lean.
—But not too healthy! ‘Cause I know how girls can be.
