Coughing harshly, England practically fell out of bed, feeling like he was dying. After managing to sit back up, he rubbed his head in pain.

"Why do I get sick so often?" he whispered weakly to himself, wanting a hug from his mom. As if on cue, she walked in not five seconds later.

"Are you okay?" she asked, concerned at England's amount of coughing. He didn't say much in response, but enough to get the point across. His mom nodded and said she'll tell the school he'll stay home, hugging England like he wanted. He was able to get himself back in bed, slightly cold even though the room was rather warm.

"Please don't let me have a fever..." he thought while rolling over on his side. England flinched a bit when he felt his cat jump on the bed, but quickly sat up and grabbed it, even though the poor thing just wanted to be left alone. It meowed with annoyance as England laid back down with it in his arms, but kept petting the small animal.

"At least you love me right?" he asked quietly, only to be met with the cat finagling it's way out of England's pathetic grip. He laughed a little since that's the response he always gets and always will. Staring out the window, England wondered what all his friends where doing. That's the only thing he liked about school, is that he got to see people he cared about. He cringed when he heard a loud ding sound and turned his head over to face the table besides the bed. Picking up his phone, he turned it on to see a text from France.

"The heck..?" England muttered with confusion. He sent a text back and found out that France convinced his parents to let him stay home. He did this often, mostly when he felt to sad or not motivated enough. Though sometimes he'd lie when the truth was he wasn't interested in what was planned the day before. But it was the first reason today. The two didn't spend much time have a long and meaningful conversation, which England was glad for since he didn't feel like have his heartbroken again. Instead France ranted about random stuff and forcing England to listen to or watch things he'd send him. England really didn't care for some of the stuff France liked, but it was the the other way around as well. Every now and then England would ask France if he'd could show him something, but France's would always respond with 'no' or 'I don't care'. England was never super bothered by it though, whenever France said he didn't care, England felt like he really did. Although he had been saying it a lot more than he used to...
