I woke up the next morning, still slumped on the couch. I looked outside to still see darkness. I rearranged myself to be more comfortable and went back to sleep. I woke up a few hours later, hearing everyone else in Gryffindor starting to wake up and get ready. I laid on the couch, just resting my eyes until I heard two familiar voices.

"He looks so cute when he sleeps!" Hermione whispered rather loudly.

I heard Ginny snort.

"Merlin's beard, you think everything about him is cute. I live with him, he's a nightmare sometimes." She replied.

Hermione was silent for a moment.

"But still, he's so genuine and he isn't trying to prove anything. I like that about him." She explained, Ginny sighing in slight annoyance.

"Whatever you fancy, now let's get breakfast. I'm starving." She insisted.

I heard their footsteps retreat and disappear. I sat up and smiled to myself. Hermione fancied me.

I trudged down to the Great Hall, still with my messy bed head and pajamas. I sat next to Hermione. She glanced over to me and blushed. "Morning, Hermione!" I greeted. She smiled, grabbing a piece of toast. "Good Morning, Felix!" She replied. I smiled this time. We sat eating breakfast, talking.

We were at a pause where Hermione was taking a sip of Pumpkin juice when I decided to talk. "I can't believe I fell asleep on a couch, I must've been tired. I woke up this morning to your voice, saying something about how cute I looked when I sleep." I stated, my smile growing wider. Hermione choked on her pumpkin juice, alerting Ron and Harry. "You all right, 'Mione?" Ron asked. Hermione nodded and then turned to me. "You heard that conversation?" She whispered. I nodded honestly. "Thanks for the compliments by the way. Do you think my bed head hair is cute too?" I asked. Hermione just blushed and I smiled at her. She turned away from me, extremely flushed. "Well, I've got to finish getting dressed for class. You can come watch if you want." I proposed, getting up from my seat. Hermione blushed and slapped my shoulder playfully, earning another smile from me. I walked back up to the Gryffindor tower with a satisfied grin.

That was the start of a pretty good day. I'd always like our friendship dynamic. Sure, we teased each other a little but it was never hurtful and we were still genuine friends. I always thought about how I'd like to be more than friends. Hermione's comments in the morning had shown me that she did have at least a little interest in me.
