(The sun is shining, casting a reign of light across the land. The Pegasus ponies are flying about, adjusting clouds to just the right places. The Earth Ponies are baking delicious treats as the Unicorns decorate every square in Ponyville. Today was Princess Twilight Sparkle's birthday.
Rarity: This celebration is simply fabulous!
Spike: I agree, Rarity... (dreamily) just like you...
Rarity: What was that, Spike? Come again.
(Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were talking to each other)
Rainbow Dash: What did you get Twilight for her birthday?
Fluttershy: Umm... I got her a book...
Rainbow Dash: Uh... rad? (She didn't seem enthusiastic) I got her a cool parachute!
Fluttershy: (hiding her sarcasm) She'll... love that!
(In Sugarcube corner, Apple Jack had returned with her next haul of Apples.)
Apple Jack: How's the baking going, Pinkie?
Pinkie Pie: Super great!! I've got 147 pies done while you were gone!
Apple Jack: So where is Twilight at the moment?
Pinkie Pie: In Canterlot! I managed to get Princess Celestia to send her an 'urgent notice' what ever that means!
(The day was going along smoothly.)
But not so smoothly for some...
