I scanned the people around me. They came here to see a fight; they came here to see bloodshed. I looked back at the other person in the steel barred cage. He was almost double my size in all sense. He was going to kill me in a matter of seconds. Maybe he would prolong my death for the pleasure of the audience. The count down started, and I only had a couple of seconds before my death was guaranteed. The final beep sounded and before I could process what was happening the monster in front of me charged.

My reflexes kicked in, and I jumped to the side. The temperature quickly dropped in the room. My hands were shaking from the fear of not only the thing in front of me but also the creature inside me trying to break free. But that is what they want to see, two monsters fighting each other till the death. I took a depth breath, trying desperately to suppress the rising power growing in me. I couldn't let it out. It would only find the audience and my captures the gratitude of seeing me lose myself to my powers.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement and remember where I was. In a cage, fighting for my life. I quickly ducked under a soaring sword that was on a collision course with my head. I looked around the small area that was for these battles, bloodied armor and weapons were pilled in one corner, while blood stained the floor. I sprinted over to the pile and pulled out a small dagger. I glanced at the pile quickly before turning around towards the fight. Shivers ran down my spine when I saw a severed hand in the mix.

Racing back towards the man, I heald up my new found weapon. He came at me again. I dodged his jabs while I delivered my own attacks. This went on for a few minutes. Finally, the monster of a man got a hit on me. His sword cut across my bicep. It wasn't deep enough to cause any major damage but it was enough force to put me off balance. Icy blue blood dripped down my arm to the floor mixing with the red blood already pooled there.

I quickly slapped my hand over it to try to hide the abnormality. Horror-stricken faces surrounded me. I was no longer a girl with a rumor hanging over her head but a monster of nightmares.

My body suddenly got colder and so did the atmosphere around me. My darker side started to appear. Everyone's eyes grew wider and I knew my eyes had changed to their piercing blue. Something that always happened when my powers are used.

I turned my eyes to my opponent. He took a step back from me. I let out a small chuckle, how the tables have turned. The man everyone feared was afraid of a small girl.

I glanced at the guy near the cage door for the first time since I was shoved into the arena. He had a sinister smirk on his face. This is exactly what he wanted. The man nodded at me and I finally gave into the cold. With a raise of my hand, my opponent was dead, covered in ice.
