I awoke this morning with a smile upon my face
I dreamt of you again
Your wonderful, soft lips and warm hugs
The feelings I will once again chase.
I use to dread being awake
And afraid to be asleep
But now you managed to give me hope
And your presence is something I can't shake.
I can't explain the sensation I felt
I was excited to be alive another day
You had mentally tucked me in somehow
You had fastened my heart with your seatbelt.
It feels as if our love is a newly born star
Ready to live for more years to come
And if you're reading this right now
You know who you are.
