What causes fights and quarrels among you?

Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?

You desire but do not have,
so you kill.

You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight.

You do not have because you do not ask God.

When you ask, you do not receive,
because you ask with wrong motives,
that you may spend what you get on
your pleasures.

James 4:1‭-‬3

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.

Psalm 51:16‭-‬17

[Note: When someone hurts you, you respond back and fight with them instead of taking that broken heart to God. You know when you control your urge to give tit for tat you are obeying God and giving revenge in God's hand. That is a wonderful sacrifice to Lord God Almighty you can ever give]
