xii: sun to the moon

     dear lune,

it has been a long time since we have last seen each other. how I long for you, love. isn't it so unfair how time cheats on us with the way he lets us take forever to meet but only seconds to touch?

earth's children sent me letters this morning and I couldn't deny that I envied them who had told me so many great things about you. the children even told me how you sang them a sweet song and gave them moon pies when they cried last winter night, how lucky.

oh, and I must tell, yesterday, the stars asked me, "why do you still continue to love him when you could barely even witness him?" so I told them, "love is not for the eyes to see, but for the heart to feel." how I wish you were there to hear how I would answer a thousand questions for you, just like how I would die a thousand times just so I could see you shine.

I would say we're a bad case of wrong timing, but in all these wrong timings, you're my only right after all.

heavens might let the time cheat and the skies deplete, but forever will I wait until you tell me about a love greater than ours.

love,
soleil

P.S. meet me in the next eclipse.
