Thank you, my friend!

While I was looking for a cloth to clean my camera, I found something more valuable.

A photo of someone, someone I lost long ago.

This time it wasn't my brother.

Ten years ago

"Come on, Joseph," my mother called me down.

I didn't want to go to my brother's funeral.

"Please, I don't want to!" I replied.

"Joseph!" My mother said in a stern voice.

I sighed to myself and got up.

My bright blue coat with golden outlines seemed to be dull.

I looked at my brother's bed, and my eyes got puffy again.

"I'm going to miss you, brother." I say and walked downstairs.

Once I got there my mother, father, and I walked to the small cemetery where my brother was.

Other people were there, most of them I didn't know.

While I sat there, looking down at my forever gone brother, I noticed someone.

She looked beautiful, and nice.

After the dull funeral, I walked around.

The old oak tree seemed to loom over me.

"Hey?" A voice asked.

I turned to find that same beautiful girl.

"Hi, I'm Joseph," I say to her.

Her eyes filled with sympathy, "I'm sorry about your brother,"

"It's ok, I don't want to talk about it." I replied to her.

"Are you sure?" She asked me.

"Yes, I'm sure," I snapped.

The girl seemed to jump, "Sorry, I didn't mean that," I say again.

"What is your name?" She asked.

"Joseph," I say.

Before I could ask her for own name, my mother called me.

"Joseph, come down!" My mother called out.

"I have to go, bye!" I say and walked away.

What a beautiful woman.

Next day

While I was walking out, the small cemetery was shown again.

The grief of my brother stabbed me like a blade, why were you taken from me brother?

Then, something caught my eye, like a beautiful photograph.

I turned my head, that same girl.

She was under the oak tree looking a grave maybe.

"Hey!" I called out.

She noticed, "Hey Joseph!"

I smiled, "What are you doing here?" I asked her.

She seemed to hesitate.

"I'm sorry if it's personal," I say and looked down.

"It's my father, he was killed in a fire." The girl replied.

"Oh... I'm sorry," I replied and patted her shoulder.

She smiled weakly.

"Joseph?" She asked me.

"Yes?" I say and looked in her mesmerising eyes.

Her hand grabbed mine and held my hand.

"You are very dear to me," she said.

I smiled, and then I noticed one thing.

This girl looked weak, like if she walked, she would fall.

"Joseph! Come home!" My mother called again.

"Bye!" I say and walked away.

The next day

I grabbed a bouquet of flowers.

Today was the day I told her my feelings.

I marched down the street to her house and knocked confidently.

The door opened and her mother, I assume, was wearing black with sad face.

"Hello, I have come to see your daughter," I say with a smile.

The mother seemed to grow sadder, "My daughter, (Y/N) has died from a disease," she said sadly.

That explained her weak look.

Sadness pierced me like a sword.

The only girl I loved, the only girl who brought happiness to my dull world... gone.

The bouquet dropped.

The present

I looked at the picture of the girl I loved.

"I love and miss you," I say and hugged the picture.

"You too, were very dear to me, I'm so sorry,"
