Cherry Blossoms

My waking thoughts, nothing

But a red so pale

Like cherry blossoms

Playing possom

Yet look so ageless, for them

It always seems to be autumn

How they fall so often

Never lasting long

Laying petals like a coffin

Reaching a hand into the haze

As a pious embrace

With a light in my palm

I lingered in its warmth

Soothing like a song

Let the numbing take its course

Til all the light is gone

Floating, I move forward

To the next waking thoughts
