Issabelle Potègè

2 M I N U T E S L A T E R

? ? ?

How...how long have I been down here? Anyway, I turned it would just be, black. I lost track of which way I was facing (North, East, South or West) and not to mention, the time.

"Wait, I'm a complete dumbass, I know Mystic Arts."

I excitedly put my arms outwards, rotating one in a circular motion as I've always been taught to, but nothing happened. I grunted, trying again and again and again till I let out a long sigh of frustration. My arm was still burning so I decided to inspect it seeing as I couldn't find a way out yet.

I gently took off the ribbon that held the scrap metal in place, I winced slightly at my broken arm but, I was also glad I could actually feel my arm and, didn't damage my nerves. I held the blue fabric in my hand and started to cry. I was dead right? And so was he. So why couldn't I see him anywhere? Is this really the afterlife? Just, darkness? Wooo look at me, unrecognizable and generic girl Issabelle Potégé dies and barely anyone knew and went out in the most pathetic way she could whilst against Thanos! Couldn't even die like a hero! That's what I'm supposed to be. A hero! And look at me! I'm...Nothing.

Stifling my cries I wiped my salty tears and wrapped the ribbon around my wrist with a small bow, smiling at it softly and letting the scrap metal float away into oblivion.

It felt like an eternity for how long I had been down there. Then again I probably only have been there for a solid 10 or fewer minutes, probably fewer. I was fascinated by inspecting all my cuts and wounds for so long I didn't even realize the very subtle and low growls that echoed around me. As soon as I did I looked around.

"Hello...?" I announced, my voice still sounding quiet and short.

As if the black void had an earthquake the area around me and, I assume everywhere else, began to shake violently. I looked down at myself and, saw my hands turn to dust just as it did earlier.

"Oh for fucks sake, again?" I cursed.

A Few Minutes Earlier...

"Alright, the gloves ready." Rocket said, steadily letting go of our version of the Infinity Gauntlet. I looked at it wearily, the last time the Hulk saw a gauntlet like this one was five years ago on Thanos' hand.

Rocket looked around at the group. "Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?"

Thor, standing up excitedly, his beer belly- er, dad bod (to be less harsh, dude still had lines from his abs he had before) made him swing side to side slightly. Or was it the alcohol? Nonetheless, he offered his hand. "I'll do it, it's okay."

He gave a solemn smile as he marched over to the glove. Everyone else started protesting against that idea and pushing him away.

"Thor, just wait we haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet," Steve said calmly.
