Chapter 5

Once I got home I went straight to my room and felt a tear go down my face. God I hate Minnesota so much right now! My mom had to completely start over with our life.

I got up and looked in the mirror and saw a boring person. I would never change. I wasn't that tall, grayish blue eyes, brown hair with natural red highlights. I wasn't like my friends at all. Claire was beautiful, blond, tall, tan, and was kinda popular. Stella was pretty, short, jet black hair, and had the best style. Then there was Tom. I just can't describe him, he's just too stupid and silly.

The next day I woke up and got in the shower. Then I walked to my closet and pulled out a light purple shirt, my black skinny jeans, and my purple vans. I brushed my hair and didn't blow dry it because I'm too lazy.

"Char," I hear my mom call up. "Someone's hear to pick you up to go to school."

I am so confused I didn't know any one was picking me up.

"Coming," I call down the stairs as I grab my backpack. Once I got down stairs I saw Eric.

"Hey ready go," he asks as he smiles at me. I could fell my cheeks heat so I hide my face with my hair.

"Sure," I say, still hiding.

I walk out to his car and he opens the door for me. Then grabs my backpack and puts it in the back seat. I wanted to yell at him but he closes the door before I could.

"Why did you come pick me up? I thought you were dating Amber." He just laughs at me.

"Nope I never have she just hangs around me."

"Then why is she so overprotective," I ask the for some reason he grabs my hand. I pull back as fast is I could, but end up making a fool of myself and hit the window. "Wow I'm so stupid," I say not realizing it till Eric said something.

"You're not stupid. No matter what anyone says," he said with a smile.

Once we get school I jump out as fast as I could.

"Thanks for the ride." I run to homeroom forgetting that I shared that with Eric, but hey that's what friends are for.

The day was just a blur. I don't really remember how I got home.

"Hi honey," I heard my mom said as I walked up the stairs. I know I didn't have any homework. Do I just laid down. Then Claire texted me.

Hey do u want 2 go 2 the movies? -Cl

Sure. When? -Ch

5? -Cl

Ok see ya! -Ch

I choose not to change just put my hair up in a high ponytail.

At the movies we saw Annabelle. I'm never watching that movie again, but of course Claire couldn't drop me off at home so I walk. I got scared at anything I saw or heard. I saw a bunny move and I jumped backwards. Guess who caught me?

"Hi Eric thank you for catching me. I just got scared." I gave him a look that could kill.

"You're welcome. Why are you walking down the road by your self?"

"Well, why were you following me?"

"We'll I....I....I was just walking down the road and saw you jump at a bunny. I was wondering why you're scared of a bunny."

"I watched Annabelle. Ok doesn't give you the right to follow me," I just glared at him.

"I'm sorry I was walking and I saw you jump and came to see if you were ok. That's all."

"Oh," I said realizing I was still in his arms.

"Hey! what are you doing with my boyfriend?" Oh great Amber's just has to be here.

"I'm not your boyfriend. Why do you think I am?" Wow never knew he would do that. I thought he would listen to her because she's the head cheerleader, but then again he's the quarterback.
