This is an idea I had for a gay scifi version of rapunzel.
The mechanic gal would take the place of the prince, and rapunzel would be an android.
So basically my idea is there's this woman who has lost an arm, and she doesn't want to pay for a mechanical replacement, but she wants the best of the best, without paying. So, she sets her eyes on a one of a kind android owned by the family with all the political power in her sector, that was custom made for them as a sort of replacement for their daughter, who they had lost. The woman manages to steal the android (rapunzel) and hides away in what she thinks is an unreachable lair, shielding her from the outside world and erasing her memory of her parents. She takes rapunzel's arm and attaches it to herself, and finds out the liquid that is taking the place of "blood" in rapunzel's body, is extremely powerful. She uses this for her own selfish purposes, and to gain power.
Meanwhile, a mechanic gal, who fixes androids for a living, is on the run as she has gotten ahold of a bottle of the very same blood, in an attempt to fix an old android that she found in a scrap yard, but the police found out and are after her because since she has the blood, she is the main suspect for the abduction of rapunzel. As she is on the run, she stumbles upon where rapunzel is being hidden. She makes a deal with rapunzel, who is desperate to go out and explore, and says she'll take rapunzel on an adventure with her, if she will help her fix the android she found. Rapunzel agrees, although she is unaware of how exactly she is going to help the mechanic fix the android.
Really, the mechanic is going to return rapunzel to her parents so she can get the police off her back, and keep the blood so she can fix her broken android.
She has no interest in rapunzel, or what she wants........or so she thinks ;)
