One Bad Day

Years later and Midoriya is attending Aldera Junior High and hears the announcement from his teacher that everyone would graduate. Midoriya was writing in his notebook regarding future Hero Costume designs he would wear once he got into UA: the most prestigious Hero Academy in all of Japan. It was a Green full body jumpsuit with a red belt, elbow pads, knee pads, and gloves, along with red boots. His mask has long ear-like  protrusions that resembles All Might's haircut, and a respirator with a smile on it that also reflects this. As he continues to write, his teacher says something. 

Teacher: Oh yeah, Midoriya. Don't you want to go to UA too?

That question instantly scared Midoriya as his former friend turned bully Katsuki Bakugo heard that. The entire class turned to Midoriya and began to laugh at the boy. He tried to block out all their doubts and insults, but it was to no avail. 

Student: There's no way you'd get into UA without a Quirk!

Midoriya: What?! Actually they got rid of that rule! I could be the first one!

Without warning, Bakugo lunged at Midoriya's desk and demolished it with his Explosion Quirk, causing the boy to fall down. 

Bakugo: Listen up Deku! You're even worse than the rest of these damn rejects you Quirkless wannabe! You really think they'd let someone like you when they can have someone like me!

Midoriya: No wait! You got it all wrong! Really! I'm not trying to compete against you! You gotta believe me!

The young boy took a second to collect his mind.

Midoriya: It's just..... I've wanted to be a hero since I was little. I may not have a Quirk, but I can still try my hardest, can I?

Bakugo: You'd never be able to hang with the best of the best! You'd die in the exams! Defenseless Izuku! This school is already shitty! You want to embarrass it more by failing so hard?!

These words got to Izuku. His confidence was already shaken by his situation, but Bakugo's words didn't help things. When the end of the day came, Midoriya was continuing writing in his notebook when Bakugo snatched it.

Bakugo: I don't know what you think you're doing Deku, but we're not done!

As he said this, two students came in.

Student #1: What you got? His diary?

Bakugo showed the notebook to the students, who simply laughed. As he pleaded with Bakugo to give it back, Bakugo ignited it with his Quirk and chucked it out the window to his dismay. Midoriya was left demoralized as the students left, but not before Bakugo said some parting words.

Bakugo: You know if you really want a hero, why don't you take a swan dive off the roof of the building! Maybe you'll get a Quirk in your next life Deku!

Midoriya went out and picked up his burnt journal which had landed in the school pond. Midoriya picked it up and began his walk home. The world seemed unfair to him at how someone like Bakugo could be blessed with a Quirk and yet someone like Midoriya ended up with none at all. When he walked under a ridge, he was grabbed by Sludge Villain and began smothering him. 

Sludge Villain: Don't worry kid, I'm just taking over your body! It'll be easier for both of us if you don't fight back! It'll only hurt for a minute! You'll feel better soon!

Midoriya struggled to escape, but it was useless. It seemed that it was it for Midoriya. He would die a "defenseless Deku" as Bakugo called him. He wouldn't be able to fulfill his dreams of becoming a hero. But as it all turned black, a hero called out.

???: Have no fear! You are safe! BECAUSE I AM HERE!

Midoriya looked to the hero and it was none other than All Might. He had come to save Midoriya from an agonizing death. The Sludge Villain soon felt fear as All Might readied his fist. 

All Might: TEXAS SMASH!!!

All Might landed that punch, sending the villain into pieces. Midoriya lost consciousness as All Might collected pieces of the villain and placed him in a small bottle. When Midoriya came too, he saw All Might. 

Midoriya: All Might?

All Might: YES YOUNG MIDORIYA! IT IS I, ALL MIGHT! 

Midoriya: How do you know my name? 

All Might: I SAW YOUR NAME IN THE JOURNAL AS I SIGNED MY AUTOGRAPH IN IT!

Midoriya was speechless. Not only did his favorite hero save him, but he also gave his autograph. He took the opportunity to ask him a single question. 

Midoriya: Can someone without a Quirk be a hero like you? Please tell me it's possible!

The boy couldn't prepare for what was about to be said.

All Might: I'm sorry young Midoriya. But without a Quirk, you can't be a hero. But you can still help. Become a Police Officer or a Firefighter. 

Hearing those words shattered him. Even his favorite hero was telling him that he couldn't become a hero. 

All Might: I MUST GO! BE SAFE YOUNG MIDORIYA!

All Might jumped away, leaving Midoriya a shattered mess. Whatever confidence he had in his dreams were gone. He resumed his walk home, hoping to end this horrible day. But as he continued, he saw an explosion in the distance. Without thinking, he ran to the area where the explosion occurred. What he saw shocked him. The Sludge villain from before was attacking the city using Bakugo as a host. Seeing the other pro heroes failing to stop him and All Might nowhere to be found, he summoned up the courage to run to the Sludge Villain and throw his backpack at it.

Sludge Villain: Huh?! YOU AGAIN! 

Midoriya dug through the villain to find Bakugo struggling to get out.

Bakugo: DEKU?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

Midoriya: SAVING YOU!

With an unfound strength, he pulled Bakugo out of the Sludge Villain, but at the cost of the Sludge Villain taking Midoriya. The Sludge Villain could no longer use Bakugo's Quirk to attack the city. 

Sludge Villain: YOU LITTLE SHIT! 

But as the Sludge Villain began to smother Midoriya, he saw All Might and the other Pro Heroes coming for him. Seeing no other option, the Sludge Villain decided to run to a nearby Chemical Plant in an attempt to use Midoriya as a hostage. The Sludge Villain made his way to a railing near a vat of chemicals. But All Might was standing right before him. The Sludge Villain then dangled Midoriya over the railing.

Sludge Villain: BACK OFF HERO! BACK OFF!

All Might: THERE'S NO WHERE TO GO FOUL VILLAIN! DETROIT SMASH!!!!!

All Might landed his punch, scattering the villain all over the plant. Midoriya grabbed the railing and held on for dear life. All Might extended his hand to help. 

All Might: TAKE MY HAND YOUNG MIDORIYA!

Midoriya reached for the hero's hand, but he lost grip and fell into the vat of chemicals below. All Might rushed to the chemical workers who hadn't fled in terror to help flush out the chemical tank to help Midoriya. But they couldn't find any trace of Midoriya, just his black school uniform jacket. At the Midoriya Household, All Might came to tell his mother what had happened. 

Inko: All Might? What happened?! Where's Izuku?!

All Might: I'm sorry ma'am, but something happened.

All Might showed Inko the discarded jacket, bringing her to tears.

Inko: N.....no! Please! Not my Izuku! Please no!

Inko collapsed onto the floor crying her heart out at hearing the news that something's happened to her son. Meanwhile through a pipe leading to the outside of the chemical plant, Midoriya struggled to get up.

Midiroya: I can't believe I survived! I should be dead! Why does my face burn? Why does.....

But as Midoriya looked at his reflection in the water, the boy couldn't believe what he saw. He saw something else looking into his eyes. His skin had been bleached white and his lips contorted into a twisted smile. Seeing what the chemicals turned into, he broke down and simply laughed. Everything had broken him into this twisted mess. He could only laugh at the unfairness the world had given him. All he could do was laugh. Izuku Midoriya was no more. There was only that twisted reflection in the water, laughing.
