I was all alone. My parents dead. My older sister dead from breast cancer. Grandma and Grandpa dead. All my relatives gone.
I sat on the couch,staring at the tv when an unfamilliar number called.
"Hello?" I said sniffing out the tears.
"Oh hi. Are you Jess's daughter?" The voice said.
"Um yeah. Who are you?"
"Oh i'm sorry! I frogot to introduce myself! I'm Jennifer,your mom's best friend in high school."
"Oh ok. Um. Why are you calling?"
"I'm calling because your going to live with me.Your parents said if they died before you were old enough to take care of yourself, you will come live with me since your relatives left the country or are gone."
"Uhh..." I didn't know what to say.
"So come on and pack your things. I will be waiting for you at the airport." And with that she said bye.
"Wait! Where do you live?"
"Tampa,Florida of course. That's where your mom was born."
