Aiko slowly staggered outside. Her drugged mind easily leading her astray. Her thoughts were clouded, hardly understanding what had just happened. Fumi had disappeared from her life. Her intoxicating presence slowly fading into oblivion. She had also managed to drag her brother one last time in a conflict before breaking down into a terrifying memory. Goro had taken part in the conflict, revealing his distorted personality which had been only been glimpsed at before.

The Emperor's kimono was the only thing covering her from indecency. But her long legs still peeked out from under, showing off her calves. Her hair was a mess, a tangled nest. Her heart was beating fast against her chest. Her eyes were jumping frantically from one corner to the other. Her forehead was covered with a sheen of sweat, while her hands gripped the Emperor's shoulders so tight making them white and numb.

"I don't feel well," Aiko whispered hoarsely. Her voice scratching a against her throat. Her face was becoming whiter. The Emperor turned around, worry flashing in his eyes. He realized the emotions and stress had been too much for Aiko, who was still recovering from her blood loss.

He felt a searing pain crackle through his heart like an electric shot. "Don't worry, everything is going to be fine," he whispered in her ear.

Aiko nodded slowly, her eyes swiveling.
The Emperor bent down on his knees and picked her up. Aiko to let out a small groan. She seemed so small in his arms. She pressed a hand against her head.

The Emperor looked at her, "We're almost to my room." he told her.

Aiko seemed to huddle closer to the Emperor. He rushed to his rooms, barging in and kicking the doors shut. He gently laid Aiko on the bed. Her form slowly snuggled closer to the pillow that seemed to smell like the Emperor. Something seemed to calm her. The sent was reassuring. The matteress held her body, slowly making the spinning in her head stop.

The Emperor slowly felt the weird and unknown emotion slip from his chest. Slowly sliding its long-nailed fingers over his heart. Almost tearing it to shreds.

As Morpheus slowly pulled Aiko in his arms, the Emperor walked in his studio. Grabbing his ink and parchment, he sat down. His mind trying to write something. He finally dipped the brush in the peach black, inky substance. He pulled it out and dried it on the side, before starting to write in precise characters.

He wrote a very long letter as the sun slowly set, bathing the bustling castle with dying sun light. The trees seemed to mourn for the loss the castle had experienced. The leaves swirled around the gardens. The flowers and petals landed gently on the spring, who seemed to be stained red. Just as the colour of Fumi's blood. The petals disrupted the calm of the water, breaking it with soft ripples. A red petal landed gently in Aiko's outstretched hand, at the exact moment Fumi was cremated.

While the Priest purified the room, Fumi's ashes were thrown in the air. Forever gone. Forever forgotten. Aiko slowly felt the grip of the drugs leave her mind and give her back sanity and sharp mind as she slept. Oblivious to the the mourning scenery. Where birds didn't sing. And roses seemed to stop giving their perfume.

The jacket slowly slipped off her shoulders.
The letter was finished as the Emperor lifted the brush off the paper. The scroll he had used to write was slowly closed, not smudging the ink. The Emperor then sealed the scroll with his ring. He seemed to sigh happily at having finished the letter.
He walked to the doors and opened them, calling a guard closer. "Send this to Lady Tachikaba and her husband, " The Emperor said.

The guard bowed down. "Yes, Your Majesty!" He ran off in the dark corridors.

The Emperor closed the doors, blocking the world out. He walked to his wardrobe and found a new vest to wear. He turned to Aiko, who seemed to move a lot in her sleep. Her eyes scrunched. Her breath labored. The layer of sweat she had before had returned. Her bandage was stained red in one part.

Aiko was mumbling things. The Emperor walked to her side, ready to wake her up from the nightmare.
But before he managed to shake her awake Aiko slowly said, "Don't leave me.....Hisato. I...love you."
