3rd pov

     hal stretched and rolled over in his blue bed. it was the morning but he didn't want to wake up, the sun beamed right in his eyes and on his fur. he blocked the rays by covering his eyes. someone knocked on his door lightly

 "hal? its 8 am, why aren't you awake now?" someone asked,

 the voice was soft and clear and he knew it was y/n's. he groaned and opened the door of his dog house and he looked at y/n in their eyes.

 "what? I'm sleepy and I'm trying to sleep" he said. 

"you have slept a lot this past week, I figured I would wake you up so at night you'll sleep better" they said, clearly worried for him.

 hal  smiled and hugged them, y/n tensed up and a light blush formed on their cheeks, they relaxed slowly in his embrace and they hugged him back

 "sorry for sleeping too much" he muttered

 "oh no its fine! your friends just want to see you more and they missed you " y/n said happily

 hal looked away then began heading toward nature cats yard, y/n followed him 

your pov

hal jumped over the fence and rolled towards nature cat "HAL IS HERE!!" he yelled out happily

he got up and dusted off his legs "hal you're a genius!!" nature cat grabbed hal by the shoulders and kissed him on. the. mouth. "now we know how to capture norman"

 y/n's insides fell like they were burning, their face just plastered a small frown, 'is this jealousy?' you thought, no. hal will never love you, he will just reject you. 

"y/n are you ok? you seem sad" nature cat softly

you snarled angrily "of course I am ok, why would you think that?" you huffed and walked away, climbed the fence, and ran deep into a evergreen forest.

hals pov

I looked at my three friends "ill get her" I said

 I followed the scent where they went. suddenly  the scent disappeared and I have to now use my other senses. I lifted up my ears and pointed them in different directions, nothing. I began to worry for them, I didn't know what I did. I heard sobbing and I followed the sound, I saw y/n curled up by a birch tree, their tail wrapping the narrow trunk like a boa constrictor.

"y-y/n?" I said softly

they held their breath for a while and wiped their tears 

"what?" they croaked out

I sat down beside her "look at me."

y/n sat up, their eyes were a light red and a little puffy from crying. 

I hugged her tightly " why were you crying?" I asked

"well I thought you didn't like me  and I thought you liked nature cat more, so I walked away because I was sad... and well.." their face turned red "I-I have a crush on y-you, I just love your energetic self and how you care for others, I love your soft brown fur and I-I just love everything about you..."

I stared at them for a long time my cheeks turning redder at every word they said

"I know you don't like me back" they went back to crying

"actually.... I also have feelings for you" I said quietly 

I lightly kissed their forehead and they smiled

"hal loves you too"
