May be triggering, sorry.

The music video Escape the Fate's song Ungrateful made me cry. It's one of two songs that can make me cry. The other songs that really does that to me is Make It Stop (September's Children) by Rise Against.

The video for Ungrateful is about a kid who gets bullied. The kid is taken to the bathroom, and is beaten up. He dies in the bathroom, and it cuts to the kid who was beating him up. He's taking off his shirt, and his back is covered in welts and cuts. He is next shown is his room, listening to music, when his dad comes in. His dad starts beating him with his belt, and that kid eventually dies too. Next, the dad is shown at his work. He is cutting meat when another worker throws some at him. He gets mad, and another worker taunts him. He pushes that worker away, and in turn he gets punched, and eventually killed.

What hits me about this video the most though, is that at the end it says:

"Violence is a vicious cycle that has taken many lives.....

Amanda Todd 1996-2012

Felicia Garcia 1997-2012

Tyler Clementi 1991-2010

Phoebe Prince 1994-2010

Ryan Halligan 1989-2003

Megan Meier 1992-2006

End the cycle now."

Make It Stop (September's Children) by Rise Against is a song that Tim McIlrath wrote that was inspired by the 9 suicides in September 2010 because of the kids getting bullied because they were gay. It's also based on Tim's nephew's best friend, who was also gay and committed suicide that December. In the bridge and the last verse, Tim says the names of the nine dead, and their ages:

Tyler Clementi, age 18;

Billy Lucas, age 15;

Harrison Chase Brown, age 15;

Cody J. Barker, age 17;

Seth Walsh, age 13;

Felix Sacco, age 17;

Asher Brown, age 13;

Caleb Nolt, age 14;

Raymond Chase; age 19.

Both songs have the same meaning: It gets better. It may not seem like it for you right now, but it DOES get better. It really does. Look at all the people who are still alive today and try to think how many of them went through the same things you are. Happily married, with a few kids, and a good job. It really does get better.
