Chapter twenty six- Happy Birthday!

A couple of days went by and the science bros couldn't find no program that worked. Today is my birthday. I was getting ready and Natasha was doing my hair.

"Ouch!" I whined when Natasha untangling my mess of long curls.

My hair was now up to my waist and wasn't that short like when I came here.

"Be quiet. You can stand the pain of couple of bullets but you can't handle the pain of untangling your hair?" Natasha grinned when she saw my expression.

"This is different!" I whined when she divided my hair so that I could have my hair straightened.

"No it's not." She finalized the conversation and I sat down waiting for the torture to end.

About two hours passed by and I finally was ready to go to the party that was held downstairs. Natasha had to leave because she was the bartender for the night. When I walked into the room, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me.

"Happy birthday!" All of them said at once making me blush in embarrassment and grinned.

"Thank you! Carry on." I said when I went over to Rhodes, Thor and Tony.

"Happy born birthday Y/N!" Thor said with his loud voice and hugged me.

"Thank you Thor." I smiled, Rhodes and Tony wished me happy afterwards and hugged me as well.

"We'll open up presents later on sweet pea. Rhodey got a story to tell us." Tony said as Thor, tony and me listened to what Rhodes had to say.

I know the story oh God.

"Well, you know, the suit can take the weight right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General's palace, drop it at his feet, I'm like, 'Boom! You looking for this?'" Rhodey said in excitement as all three of us stared at him blankly.

"'Boom! Are you looking...' Why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else, that story kills." I snorted by accident and he just stares at us.

"That's the whole story?" Thor asked making me want to laugh.

"Yeah, it's a War Machine story." Rhodey said like if it was obvious for us to figure it out right now.

"I'm either stupid or that story didn't make sense." I smiled at him in a creepy way.

"Well, it's very good then. It's impressive." Thor's loud laughter filled the room making Tony and I laugh at him.

"Quality save. So, no Pepper? She's not coming?" Rhodey asked Tony while he took at sip of his alcoholic drink.

"No." Tony answered.

"Hey, what about Jane? Where are the ladies, gentlemen?" Maria asked making me roll my eyes.

"Y/N isn't very fond of Jane." Thor responded.

"How come?" Maria's curiosity made me want to say a whole lots of things about Jane.

"She's annoying, she's a bitch, she's annoying again——"

"Okay calm down sweet pea. But Pepper has a company to run." Tony interrupted my sentence.

"Fine." I said.

"I heard she's winning something called the Nobel Prize or something." Thor said when he took a sip of his own drink.

"Yeah, they... they must be busy because they'd hate missing you guys together." She mocked.

"Testosterone!" I said making her laugh hard.
