Aimless chatter constantly competes to overpower the other group of acquaintances a few tables away. I, however, sat at the loneliest corner of the cafeteria, munching on my over cooked grilled cheese sandwich. I scan the crowds of adolescents for anything amusing.

I felt at peace with myself for the longest five minutes of my life, until my  vision deceives me. The last person I wanted to see stands in place, next to the napkins.

"You always crawl back, don't you?" She whispers far away, but I could hear her perfectly. I return to eating my food and completely ignoring the question. She smirks devilishly at me.

I couldn't feel the ground under me anymore. The entire room is pitch black. My feet struggle to find a platform below to rest on, as a fall for hours. She looks down at me, ever so mighty and ginormous. I was an ant compared to her, ready to be smushed.

But, she kept staring with an amused expression on her face.
"You kept trying to push me out.
But, all that did was lead you back to me."
