Darkness Taking Over

Hope

In life there's many wonders

wonders I've been lucky to find

but some wonders are but blunders

blunders laced with lie

They trick you into believing

and cause you pain and suffer

they keep you from achieving

and leave you there to buffer

You wonder why, why me

but there is only one reason

because life is not happy

it's full of lies and treason

You think to yourself

"Why do I go on?"

but the reason itself

is that not all Hope is gone

Hope keeps you going

Hope puts up a fight

it relaxed you knowing

that it fights day and night

Hope will protect you

when life is not kind

Hope will shield me

until I'm evil-blind
